    Lid will close when there's an inch left between lid and chassis. The top has "give" to it if pressed down..but the reason it went back in the box after 15 seconds on the MacBook 13" 2017's because of how incredibly cheap it felt. I would compare it to putting a plastic bag on your foot for a sock.
