I think it would be worth the expense to get the name brand item. This case was eventually replaced with a more colorful name brand. My advice is to buy only if you can not afford the name brand item.

Over priced.

Clear but cheap feeling

The plastic is very clear but did not feel like it would protect my brand new MBP. It felt very flimsy/ready to crack. I ended up returning it so not sure how it would have worked in the long run.

Of course, the cracks spread and now it is barely hanging on. I would NOT recommend this proud to anyone.
