    Contrary to other reviews, I found this case to fit the ipad mini 2 just fine. The magnetic cover does "turn off" the ipad but only when the closure snap is engaged.

    I had to find my teen a new case and it needed to be durable but light. Plus I own one for my iPad the case bottom is tough durable tight fit..
