This is a movie you will definitely want to have in your collection. It is kid and adult oriented. It does contains some bad words but is not littered with them. It is funny, has lots of action, and good actors. My wife, son and I all enjoyed the movie. My favorite parts of the movie were the video and surround sound. This movie is excellent at both. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

If you were not a fan of the Speed Racer cartoon, then you will not like this. If you were then you will. I saw it in IMAX and was blown away! Everything was great, story, acting, visuals (outstanding), music! I don't know what the reviews were expecting, but I and my whole family loved it!

If you are looking for "the" blu ray reference disc this is it! The picture is amazing and your friends will be jealous. The colors fly off the screen and the clarity is amazing. The film isnt that great but because of the amazing blu ray transfer this disc will be very popular. buy it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw Speed Racer twice in theaters! and from there i already knew to buy this movie on Blu Ray. i rented the DVD counter part and it simple paled in comparison. Speed Racer is a great movie with dazzling effects and captivating cinematography. Due yourself a favor and buy it only Blu Ray, you wont regret it.

Everyone said that the lines were cheesy, or it was unrealistic, but that is exactly like the old show!!! That's how it was supposed to be done. If you watched the old show at all, buy this movie.

I loved this movie, it was so original in its style, and took just the right parts from the old show. No other movie this summer left me breathless like Speed Racer.

The Wachowski brothers manage to blow your mind away with amazing cinematography. A great deal of care went into preserving the Speed Racer elements in the film. If you are a Speed Racer cartoon fan you will not be disappointed. However, this becomes the movie major flaw. Too much is invested in the source material that the movie itself is not interesting.

If u like the cartoon, you will love the movie. Great special effects!!!

I will admit I have never seen the original Speed Racer series. That said, I just did not enjoy this movie and neither did the kids. The graphics are awesome, but the acting and plot just did not keep me interested in the movie. Maybe you have to be a Speed Racer fan to enjoy this movie.

Not much to say, a headache film with dull and boring racing sequences, very bad acting, the only good thing about it is blu-ray.
