This R2 unit is plug and play. He acts and sounds exactly like the R2 seen in the films. He's a fun guy to have around the house.

We have several Sphero toys and we love them. They're not really hobby level robots but they are great bordom beaters and can be very fun and entertaining! Sphero really did a great job with R2-D2 as his overall fit/finish is excellent, and his sounds are accurate to the film's. Play time is about an hour or so on about a 2 hour charge. The app is great as all the Sphero Star Wars droids are integrated into one app. Well done Sphero!!

The Sphero R2 D2 is the greatest thing ever, I also have the Sphero bb-8 but the R2 D2 is the coolest thing in controlling the way the sounds come from the RTD2 itself to the pure amazement I get out of just playing around with it and chasing the cat

This little guy is cool. I am a huge fan of remote control, and I am also a Star Wars fan, so this seemed like a must have (or really must want). I wasn't expecting too much, however, this little guy is really a fun RC device. It is fully controllable from a smartphone. You can program it, or just steer it around. I am still learning all of the different features, but I'm having fun while learning. If you are an R/C fan and a Star Wars fan, I recommend this product. Just don't start off with him on a tall table, he really moves! :)

Has lots of different interactions you can control. does more than let you move it around. excellently copies many moves and sounds from the movies. perfect for any R2 fan

The novelty wears off quickly, but it's still awesome! I look forward to watching more movies with him. He's funny to watch as he shakes his head, shivers, etc to various scenes of the movie. Well worth the money.

This R2D2 droid is tons of fun and i haven't even explored all the features on it yet. It is so cute when it interacts with BB8. I love how the sounds come from the droid and not the phone.

This little guy is fun for the entire family. All remote functions are easy to use and watching star wars movies with him is hilarious. Can't wait to try him out with BB8

Got this for my nephew and he loves it. Uses it with the force band that I picked up for free as a bundled purchase.

This is a great little toy for any Star Wars fan. The sounds he makes are authentic and the detail is amazing.

I bought the Sphero BB-8 two years ago when it first came out. I absolutely loved, and R2D2 is no different. It's a fun, interactive, easy to use product.

I have all the Star Wars Sphero droids, but R2-D2 is by far the best. Sphero did a great job of building in all of R2's signature personality into the app. There are a bunch of sounds and movements available to play with and R2 responds very well to remote control. Lots of fun, as long as you have solid floors to run him on. He will not roll at all on carpet.

This Sphero R2-D2 is so cool. Great sounds, lights, and movement.

The drone is very basic, easy to use, and great for the family. If you are a Star Wars fan, even if you get bored of playing with it as a remote control R2-D2, it's still a great conversation piece for company. We love it!

This has been a great addition to the family. Kids love it, easy to use and maneuver.

I was so excited to get this I went straight home and took it out of the box and started messing with it. The app is decent but the droid I was so happy after it turned on. Then no less than 5 minutes I started to notice a lot of defects. R2D2 would fall constantly and you would have to stand him back up. He would go soo fast he would lose control. The part where they say he notices his surroundings and won't get stuck. Just soo many things was wrong with this product I returned it the next day.

I say, if you can get an R2 unit that functions very similarly to the film R2, hurry up and snatch it up, cause its not often when manufacturers get something so close and so right.

This is way more fun than the BB8 style Sphere. Way less limited than the BB8.
