It has a lot of technology and the kids should like it. I t seems a little pricy!

Since my 12 year old 7th grader is taking computer science and seemed to be excited when telling me about learning to program and use robots in his class, I mistakenly thought he'd enjoy getting to experiment with this at home. I was wrong. He used it for about a week. The robot itself works as designed. He programmed it to go in and out of several rooms in the house and he also used his phone to control it in real time. However, after that he became bored with it. It was easy to download the app and sync the unit with his phone and my tablet. Now, it just sits on his desk.

It is fun and easy to control. You can make mazes and drive through. Multiple speeds, so you don't need to go super fast.

My little sister loves this thing! She got the hang of it pretty quick and has a blast building her own programs and leveling up

My son and daughter really like playing with this... they have fun coding and using the app alike.

I was hesitant on getting this for my sons birthday because I did not know much about it. I love how educational it is and he enjoys it so much! Very fun to use while he learns at the same time!

This product is great because it can be used as a toy and a learning tool so kids can learn coding. Purchased this for the latter and it will work great.

Great for kids to play, but also to learn. It lets you program different game modes through the app. Very intuitive. My 8 year old loves it.

I bought this for my curious 8 year old for Christmas. He loves how easy it is to use with his iPad. My husband was impressed with the app and how easy it was to learn basic programming from it. The Spark is almost indestructible. My sons have thrown down the stairs, kicked it around, and even thrown it in the pool and the things keeps working just fine.

It really is a solid product and I can see the draw. Unfortunately its just not the right fit for my 10 year old. She felt it was too much coding. Not meant for everyone.

It's really amazing how much these little robots can do. Check out some videos on-line, I'll just use this review to say these are durable; they can stand being dropped and driven into things. The ball does eventually get scratched; Sphero sells rubber covers though.

Excellent toy to get your kids started with programming and controlled robot.

This is the second SPRK we have in the family...last year one kid got one for Christmas, this year another one. It's really fun to have them race, collide, and just have a great time...all while learning some coding and programming. What a great tool to help kids get interested in STEM!

This product is great for someone that wants to explore robotics. It allows one to understand the thought process for how to program.

Got this for my daughter after her time using it at the Apple Store! It’s an awesome way to introduce your child to coding. It’s easy to use and fun to drive around. Very durable so far too (she’s whacked this into a few walls so far and it’s holding up great!)

A present for my son for CHRISTMAS. He has tried this item at school & loved it.

We have an Ozobot and a Cozmo and, after taking a class, my daughter decided she needed a Sphero to round out her robot collection. She is able to program it through a tablet and loves to run it through the house and get the cats involved. Very entertaining.

My goal was to introduce my 7y/o grandson to coding. His dad is a coder and he loaded up the apps before the gifting. I was a little surprised the ball was smaller than I thought, but the kid started programming it using the high level tools in the app. No real coding yet, but I think we will get there.

My 12 year old loves this! She can do so many cool things with it.

This purchase is a gift. I can’t really rate it until 12/26/2017
