I had seen Kikki's Delivery Service years ago with my kids, and was aware of this movie but had never seen it nor did I know the story. I'll keep my review spoiler free, but will say, like many Japanese anime, the story was both touching and emotional and pretty far out at the same time. I feel like there were many Japanese memes and cultural touch points that I recognized as being there but didn't fully understand, but I though the movie was engaging quite the same. Ultimately, I really enjoyed it. If you like classic Anime and haven't seen this, you should absolutely catch it. The movie paints a strange, magical world and you will hopefully be caught up in the directors vision like so many people have. Note: The style of this anime is "kids movie" on the outside, but I actually talked to one of my teen age sons who remembered seeing it at a much younger age, and I think it left a weird impression on him. Nothing in the film is 'adult' but there is definitely some strange stuff going on parts. Parents with young, especially impressionable children, might want to take a viewing first and make sure it's not too far out for their kids,

The movie was good, a bit deep, and definitely a bit too scary for young children, despite its PG rating. The premise and some of the characters and plot lines were on the more disturbing/gruesome side, and it is also quite long (over 2 hours). That said, if you like watching movies that have some layers to them and will lend themselves to discussion afterwards, you will enjoy this film. The hand-drawn animation is quite impressive!

The animation is extremely well drawn. Honestly my one gripe is that im not a fan of extremely open endings

Slow at the beginning, appearing to favor an Asian audience. Seemed complicated at the start but with time it all begins to resonate and make sense. It became very exciting towards the end, with a remarkable ending leaving wanting more. You will look for other movies by the Producer with a related theme.

Another awesome steelbook release. I have been collecting almost all of these. First time i received one that arrived dented, not the products fault but BestBuy ships these in an envelope unfortunately. Exchange process was fine, but I would recommend buying these at the store to save you the hassle.

I saw this entirely for the first time about the time I purchased it on 5/7/20, I’m not a huge fan of certain art styles but I will watch stuff regardless! I really liked the story behind the movie; this film is up there with faves for my wife so I had to give it a try. I enjoyed it to my surprise. I’d recommend.

One of the better designed Ghibli steelbooks, but it still suffers from the boring cookie cutter design of the rest of them. The movie is one of the most popular for a reason, so if you haven't seen it already. this is a good way to do it.

Product arrived with minor dents on top, but otherwise was fine. Since this is a steelbook case, I can only assume the item was accidentally dropped at one point or damaged in shipping. Still a fantastic item and a great add to any collection.

I remember watching this sometime in 2007. Back then being in High school, I could care less about this movie but it stuck to me that this movie had a deeper meaning. I bought this movie and just as I suspected this movie is amazing. Besides the meanings held within this film, the video and audio quality was great. I watched it with my family and they enjoyed it.

Like it very entraining for kids 10 and up there’s some scary stuff in the movie.

One of the best of Ghibli, but you already know that. Same minimal style and mediocre steel finish... but you know you're going to buy it anyway.

I never saw any of these anime movies (especially those from the same creator as this one), but this was a great movie to watch and it really opens up a new world I don't have the imagination to think of myself. Solid thumbs up!

Beautiful Steelbook. It was a little challenging finding one that was not dented or scratched, but finally found one worth buying.

Spirited Away is a movie any film fan should have in their collection. Visually striking and wonderfully imaginative it appeals to wide age ranges. Only down side of the DVD purchase is that it isn't Blu-ray.

i love blue ray but it won't work in europe you will only have to watch it here

I gotta admit, while my daughter loves these movies like this title and Howe's Magic Castle, and Castle in the sky. I think those are the titles. What else can I say but she loves them.

Great anime classic! One of Studio ghiblis top movies. Definitely pick up if you're interested in the genre. Easy curb side pick up as well.

I heard about Spirited Away and watched it. I actually enjoyed the movie. Good plot, good anime. It was quite suspenseful never knowing what would happen next.

I have heard so much about these films and had always been looking to find it online. After I couldn't for the longest time, I finally decided to buy them. The animation was incredible, and the stories were entertaining.

the video quality on this is second only to the Japanese re-release. However for the us market this is a very well done feature with good audio and plenty of special features that don't eat into the main movies space.
