Great anime movie to watch........................:)

I love this movie! I bought when it came out on VHS some odd years back. Beautiful story line, but that's to be expected from Hayao Miyazaki. All his films are very creative and beautiful. I'm almost 22 and i love this film as much as my friend's three year-old daughter and two-year-old son do. We watch this and Howl's moving castle repetitively. We've watched it in both the English and Japanese, and i would recommend everyone to do the same. The Japanese version with English subtitles, though same story, has minor differences in what is being said and things that didn't really make too much sense in the English version made a lot of sense in the Japanese version.

Spirited Away is a wonderful film that takes you and makes you believe you are in this incredible fantasy world. The backgrounds in this movie are breathtakingly beautiful, full of subtle details that make it seem somehow lifelike. Storytelling like this just doesn't get any more original or heartfelt. I like how this dvd comes with both the Japanese and English versions, so that you can see the differences in the actor's performances. My personal favorite is the featurette showing how they go about dubbing this version for the US. There are some parts that may be scary for younger viewers that may surprise parents, but the older kids should be able to handle it just fine. All in all, a great movie for everyone to enjoy.

Spirited Away is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's about a girl named Chihiro who is moving away from where she lives to a new place. Along the way, her parents make a detour, and thus begins her exciting adventure. I don't want to spoil anything, but this movie is enjoyable for all ages to watch. There is one small scary part, but even my 4 year old nephew did not seem to be frightened by it. The DVD extras (assuming this is the 2 disc set) comes with plenty of features, including behind the scenes, from animation to voice acting. If you really like this movie, I highly suggest checking out other Studio Ghibli movies. :)

“Spirited Away” involves the journey that a young girl named Chihiro embarks on after finding her parents transformed into pigs. She also travels through an even more unusual spirit world and dealing with the witch who was responsible for what happened to her parents. “Spirited Away” reminds me of “Howl’s Moving Castle” (which is also a good film).“Spirited Away” is a great anime movie with supernatural/spiritual themes.

The plot is deceptively simple--a little girl journeys to a spirit world--but the execution is incredibly imaginative, surreal, surprisingly touching and hauntingly beautiful. Many of the images in this film are truly stunning, ranging from the elaborate and action-packed to the transcendentally serene, and the characters are both odd and fascinating. Director/writer Hayao Miyazaki has created a masterpiece that is a genuine classic for all ages. In the first few minutes of "Spirited Away," you will think you know exactly where things are headed. Boy, will you ever be wrong. Many of the twists and turns in the plot and the characters Chihiro meets are truly bizarre. And even with a running time of more than two hours, the movie seems to end too soon--like a wonderfully strange, other-worldly dream from which you don't want to wake. Already the highest-grossing film ever in Japan (beating out "Titanic" there), the US version has been dubbed into English by voice actors including Daveigh Chase (Lilo of Disney's "Lilo & Stitch"), who does an excellent job. It also boasts a terrific, frequently moving score by Joe Hisaishi. Very highly recommended!

This is a movie for anyone who is anyone. Its for all ages too. I can watch this movie over and over again. I had to order it online because I could not find it in-stores. I'm glad I was able to buy it. It makes a good gift too. I heart anime!

This is a great film. You follow a young kid when her parents get trapped in the spirit world and she has to save them but also keep herself from becoming trapped as well. This is a big fan favorite of Studio Ghibli films and my personal favorite. Some scenes can be confusing for those that are new to anime or Japanese culture but that will not hinder your enjoyment.

Spirited Away draws the audience into an exotic magical world filled with spirits from Japanese mythology while following the main character's journey of growth and self-discovery. A great film for all ages, although some of the spirits and their actions may be more frightening for small kids. Highly recommended!

This is one of the cutest movies ever!! Hayao Miyazaki is a wonderful story teller, and this movie proves it! A little girl who is lost in a world of spirits and demons, there is imagination everywhere and its a plot line that kids and adults can relate to! It has great characters, creatures and just puts a smile on your face!

Charming movie, I love all the Studio Ghibli movies but this one is definitely one of my favorites. It may seem a bit weird (especially for those who have never seen a SG movie) but give it a fair chance. This is a must have for any SG fan.

I'm not one for watching movies more than once, but I've watched this one several times . Not suitable for very small children due to some blood and scary scenes. Nothing too bad, though.

This was my first Studio Ghibli film. I've been hooked on their movies ever since. Awesome movie which people of all ages can enjoy. Excellent story, detailed animation, beautiful music!

This is one of the films that you would never forget!!! It not only has wonderful graphic illustrations, the storyline is mind-boggling. It undeniably recaptures your childlike imagination! I highly recommend everyone to watch it and also own it!!!

Saw this movie for the first time and loved it. The animation is beautiful and the story was terrific. I would say it's fine for both adults and children. This is definitely a movie I would watch again.

Spirited Away is such a great family movie. If you like Howl's Moving Castle you will love this movie!!

If you never know what to watch, this is the go to movie! Family friendly and beautifully produced. Get out of the Disney box and watch a totally new take on classic entertainment.
