Great addition to the Splatoon series. Adds so much new content from remixes of original maps, new items, weapons, modes, with much more to come. The single player offers dozens of hours of gameplay and the online modes offer so much more playtime. I highly recommend this game for the single player or the online. It looks and plays better than either of the previous games. I put over 380 hours in Splatoon 2 and this game just improves the gameplay in so many valuable ways.

A really fun competitvie multiplayer game where you paint the level as fast as possible, fleshed out single player stuff that isn't dlc the only knock I have is Nintendo has frequent connectivity issues.

Splatoon 3 is a great game. Very fun especially when played with a group of friends. It is not without its quirks though. These “problems” are more on Nintendo’s side though as they don’t have dedicated servers for the game and it is mostly online game. Single player is fun. Tableturf battle (a mode you can play offline) is actually really fun too. Give the game a try if you are into multiplayer online shooters with a twist!

Splatoon always been one of those games I used to get mad with but realized I wasn’t playing it right by cutting off the Call of Duty brain and having fun with friends on more color mapping domination

I picked up Splatoon 3 for my kids, and it’s quickly become one of the most played games in our house. I originally bought it thinking they’d enjoy the colorful style and goofy ink battles, but I didn’t expect it to take over our living room the way it has. They love the fast-paced matches, customizing their characters, and teaming up with friends online. It’s one of those rare games that’s fun to watch and fun to jump into myself. Easily one of the best purchases I’ve made for them.

The style is incredible, the gameplay is fun, the story mode has quite a bit of content, still getting major events like splatfests and big runs, large player base and easy to get into. One of Nintendo's best online experiences and franchises hands down.

Difficulty. Research. Class. An awkward vibe from the story pairs it up with a battle for the ages making such a fun game. Obviously a same straight face from the series, but it is so much fun. First Splatoon experience, and it has been a blast.

Loved the second game and this one is just as fun! Also love the new weapons (the Tri-Stringer being my main) and customizations we get. If you have played any of the previous two highly recommend picking this one up as well. A lot of active players so you're usually not having to wait too long in the lobby.

Great multiplayer game for kids. It seems super fun and different than other games. At first she didn’t like it because it was hard for her to win. But then after a few days playing after she started to advance in the game with new upgrades it got a lot more fun. She started to win more and she loves it.

Let me start my review with saying the process of preordering this game was less than ideal, and I'm unsure if I'll preorder from Best Buy in the future because of it. However, the game itself is wonderful. It's even better than I expected it would be from the demo! The multiplayer feels like a noticeable improvement from Splatoon 2, and everything just generally feels smoother. Could use some bug fixes, but this is a review coming from 3 days after release so I can only imagine this game will get better with time. Also I want to say the Single-player campaign is amazing and I LOVED IT. Glad to see they took note of what people enjoyed about the Octo Expansion and improved upon it for this game's single-player. 100% recommend it if you're looking to buy someone a fun multiplayer game with a good sci-fi single-player story.

Splatoon is a kid friendly version of call of duty. I love the paint colors, the modes and the characters. This game is so much fun! The only thing that is a bummer is that it is a one player game but still a fun family game to have!

It’s more Splatoon. Probably has the best single player though still can’t decide between this and the Octo Expansion tbh… And a bunch of multiplayer improvements. It is very good and I will probably put an unhealthy amount of hours into it within the next few years.

so well refined and optimzed. apparently some people have had connection issues, but i barely have. and they've already patched most issues out. besides that there's so much to do, so many new features and activities. it was all handled so well. cant wait for the free added stages and stuff coming soon.

Splatoon 3 takes everything from the first 2 titles and refines them into an absolute great gameplay experience. The gameplay is as fun as ever, the story mode has been fleshed out, and 2 years of update support are in the way, this is a game that will not run thin of content anytime soon

Splatoon 3 is a fun game that you can pick up and put down whenever. It's performance and graphics are improved from Splatoon 2 and comes with a much longer single player campaign that really impressed me. There is also a much more in-depth multiplayer that remains very addicting.

    Splatoon 2.5

Overall Splatoon 3 is a really fun game that many will enjoy but it doesn't do enough to improve. The game plays exactly the same as the previous game and includes many of the same maps and game modes. They did however add 2 new weapon types, a new mode called tableturf, made the announcement optional, and 24 hour salmon run. These are some welcome changes but tableturf is a card game that is it's own thing. Tableturf is fun to play and I think many will enjoy it but it I can see it being avoided by most players. It plays sort of like tetris and that you are placing blocks except you can place them anywhere on the board. The objective is to have more of you blocks taking over the "turf" at the end of the match. It's a fun side distraction, but most will gravitate towards the lobby. The campaign feels like the Octo expansion and is enjoyable but these feel more like little side missions than anything else. There is no real story here and it serves more as aguide to get you acustomed to how to play Splatoon. It would have been nice if Spaltoon 3 allowed you to change weapons mid map or at least while in the lobby, but oonce you select you loadout, there is no way to change it unless you quit the lobby and re-enter. Unfortunate that this is still the case. Many can argue that there was no need for this release since everthing it included could have simply been updated as there isn't enough content here to justify a sequel. I have to agree with this statement. All in all, this is a very good game and if you enjoyed Splatoon 2 then you'll enjoy this one as well.
