Movie was far fetched. The main character has way too many split personalities. He believes he’s some kind of animal and becomes one too. The movie hadn’t potential in the beginning, but later on it gets too weird.

Yet another disappointment from M Night Shamalan. I would stay far away from this movie. I really want my time back, I suppose if you like his other films you may enjoy this.

The story line could be true but in the middle of the movie it starts to get very unreal. Wasted my time and my money.

This one bores me. Multiple personality movies don't entertain me unless there better than this one. Boring

I went in to this film with mild expectations because of the director attached and left the theater pleasantly surprised! I always found the 'split'-personality disorders interesting and while I'm sure this portrayal wasn't accurate to how most people with disorder have it, im sure this was an extreme version of a worse case scenario. James McAvoy shines as he transitions from one character to the next. I felt unsettled as movie progressed and more of plot was revealed. It was also filled with some strange comedy that fit just perfectly with eerie tone of the film. Do your self a favor and watch this film. A clever, surprise ending will make you appreciate the director even more if you are a fan of his earlier films.

    Very Good Movie

My standards on a movie are very simple. Was I entertained. After watching Split, the answer is yes and it won't be a movie I'll forget whether I saw it or not. I'll remember it. The blue ray was an excellent copy. Since the 4K was upscaled, I choose the blu-ray especially since Best Buy offered such a good sale price.

Split is a film that impressed me with its complexity and unique story! James McAvoy a very good actor who did not play only one role played 24 characters, this shows how good an actor he is ... Kevin Wendell Crumb, Barry, Dennis, Patricia, Hedwig, Jade, Orwell, Heinrich, Samuel, Mary Reynolds, Ian, Norma, Mr. Pritchard, Luke, Goddard, Bernice, Polly, Rakel, Felida, Ansel, Jalin, Kat, B.T and The Beast

    An excellent comeback for Shyamalan

Its not news that M. Night Shyamalan has lost his touch recently, but this film really surprised me. I went into this film with the lowest expectations, but as soon as McAvoy appears on screen I knew this wasn't going to be a disaster for M. Night Shyamalan. Shyamalan got the best performance out of McAvoy and fellow cast to execute the best Shyamalan movie to date. Highly recommend this movie and look forward to what is coming next!

    Blu Ray Disc/Split

Bought a 4k and the blu ray disc that came with it didn't work. Didn't care about the 4k itself since I don't have a player for that (though it's supposed to play the blu ray disc with my blu ray player.) I returned it and they gave me a good working blu ray disc specifically for this movie, Split, and returned me a few extra bucks on top of that. Movie is very good, but if you saw Unbreakable, then this movie becomes even stronger--better. Looking forward to the third installment, Glass.

Finally, a Return to Form for Shyamalan!

Although this movie did not do as much for me as some of this director's better films (Unbreakable, Signs, The Sixth Sense, The Village), it features perhaps the best performance of James McAvoy to date, not to mention Anya Taylor-Joy and Betty Buckley. This film is not only great because of its now-infamous twist ending, but because it works well enough on its own. Unfortunately, the philosophy of the film (purification through pain) makes little sense, and it falls into many of the same horror tropes as other films of the genre. Additionally, 10 Cloverfield Lane was a much better film featuring abducted women trying to outsmart their intimidating male captor. Here, characters suffer from their inability to speak up/act when it really counts, which is frustrating. Still, this is a return to form for Shyamalan, and I can't wait to see what he does with these characters next!
