My husband and I LOVE “It Takes Two” so the moment we knew we could preorder this, we did. We don’t regret it at all. This game is amazing! It keeps you on the edge of your seat. The graphics, story and mechanics are amazing! There are some Sci-Fi levels that are a bit more difficult but with patience, we got through. Every aspect of the fantasy section we absolutely love. A lot of it feels like Bladerunner, Star Wars, Dune, Cyberpunk, LOTR, HP. All things we love! I’m not a huge gamer but I found this so enjoyable. I highly recommend it.

Great game, level design, puzzles, platforming, and even the story are all done well. Very innovative and utilizes current gen tech really well.

Just finished SplitFiction on PS5, and I’ve gotta say - solid 9/10 from me. The graphics are beautiful, the puzzles are clever, and there’s just enough action to keep it exciting without being overwhelming. It’s built for two players, which is both the best and worst part. There were definitely moments that tested our friendship, but when everything finally clicked, it was incredibly rewarding. It’s one of those games that will make you laugh, yell, and celebrate all in the same level. From the creators of It Takes Two, you can definitely feel some crossover - except this one feels like It Takes Two on steroids. The Friend Pass is an awesome bonus too, letting your co-op partner join for free even if they don’t own the game. If you like story-driven adventures, teamwork, and the occasional “NO, THE OTHER BUTTON!” moment, you’ll have a blast with this one. Highly recommend!

I purchased it and played it with my partner—it’s been an absolute blast! The game seamlessly blends sci-fi and fantasy elements, offering very diverse environments that keep the gameplay fresh and engaging. From going through futuristic cities to exploring enchanted forests, each level introduces very unique mechanics that need genuine teamwork and communication. The split-screen design is intuitive (familiar among those who played it takes two) and both players are equally involved throughout the adventure.  What absolutely sets Split Fiction apart is its emphasis on cooperative gameplay- solving intricate puzzles or facing off against formidable bosses, the game demands coordination, making every success feel rewarding. The narrative is compelling, with protagonists Mio and Zoe offering contrasting yet complementary perspectives. If you’re seeking a game that strengthens bonds and delivers hours of entertainment, Split Fiction is a top-tier choice.

Very talented and creative folks made this game. Much like It Takes Two, the creativity all throughout the game is unbelievably satisfying and comedic and in times even very deep. I was a huge fan of the fantasy worlds and I liked the sci-fi levels enough to have fun but definitely preferred the fantasy levels. There’s also a lot of fun little gimmicks in each level that are there strictly for your enjoyment and some are very missable but fun when you find them. Mio and Zoe are likeable and grow on you as you progress the story. While the main story is just okay, it’s the books of each playable character that makes the game’s story very fun. Highly recommend, especially if you’ve played It Takes Two or their other coop games like A Way Out.

Probably one of the best couch co op games I have ever played. Story is great and the gameplay is very unique. Very fun to play with friend or family. Highly recommend

It’s got lot of variety of playstyles for each area throughout the whole game. I like it but my brother doesn’t because some of the areas feel half baked while still good enough to get through some parts of the levels. The best part is that you can share the other player’s side on another system for free with the friend’s pass.

I bought Split Fiction to play with my preteen son, and we both absolutely love it! The game is definitely challenging, requiring communication, thinking outside the box, and teamwork. It really makes us work together, and the experience is both fun and rewarding. It keeps us engaged the whole time, and we’re always excited to play again. Highly recommend it for families who want a game that encourages creativity and collaboration!

Super fun to play with a friend or family memebr. Lacking side content and challenge compared to the previous titles, but overall good.

This game is absolutely amazing—10/10, must play! The graphics are stunning, and the shifts in gameplay are truly a chef's kiss, keeping things interesting and fresh. If you have someone to play with, it’s an incredible co-op experience, but even if you’re playing solo, it stands out as a fantastic game. Give it a try, and trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Hazelight has done it again. This co-op only action adventure features gameplay variety that rivals the GOTY-winning It Takes Two. For a game about two writers and the importance of storytelling, though, its writing and storytelling take a bit of a backseat to the gameplay. Multiple game genres are represented, and unless you're disinterested in a few cutscenes, there's never a dull moment. I don't want to spoil any of what's in store here, but simple puzzles and plenty of platforming round out the many kinds of experiences Split Fiction offers. While most of it is inventive in the sense that familiar gameplay elements get a co-op twist, some late-game additions truly make the most of the split-screen format and its co-op nature. If you have a friend, play this please. It's fantastic.

This game was seriously so fun. My girlfriend and I have made it a thing where we play the co-op games by Hazelight and this was perfect for us. Loved the references, the gameplay styles and the idea of sharing 2 types of themes. 100% recommend!

I love the story & plot of the game. The side quests are my favorite part!

Couch co-op, no extra charges like dlc or micro transactions so you get the full game. There’s very few gaming companies that do this these days so you have to support them when you can

seriously get this game, if you want to have fun playing on ps5 with your wifey, kids, bffs, neighbor - whoever your folks - tbh its mad entertaining and engaging even if one doesn't know hot to game its mad cool

A great game to play on PS5 local coop, just like It Takes Two. Best Buy delivery was great, I'll order delivery from them moving forward.

Top contender for game of the year! Friend pass is a great idea and more games should offer it

My wife and I had a great time playing this together. It lasts a while if you play 1 or 2 chapters at a time.
