If you played the original in the 2000s, you’ll love this remaster! Wonderful game to play alone, or with the family. Great game for any Spongebob fan!

As a guy who loved the original game, I can say that this remake is really good. With great visuals and solid controls, I recommend you get this game.

If you enjoyed the original, this is everything you'd want from a remake and a little more. It's simple, nothing fantastic or groundbreaking.

If you have another console or you have a decently-specced PC (Ryzen 7000+ or Core Ultra 100/200 series processors for integrated graphics, or Radeon 570/Geforce 1050Ti/Intel Arc A380 or comparable/better for discrete graphics), buy it there instead. This might also work better on the upcoming Switch 2 than it does on Switch. The biggest problem is framerate; it tends to run around 30 fps.

As a big fan of the original release, I was very excited to play Rehydrated. Playing it has brought me back so many memories that I forgot I had. While the Switch version isn't the best adaption of this classic, exploring Bikini Bottom as my favorite characters always feels great, even if the framerate and graphics aren't the quality we expect from remasters nowadays. The Switch version looks better in handheld mode, compared to the docked option. This is definitely worth $30 whether you played the original or you love Spongebob and want a platformer/collectathon game to play until you wait for the next big title to release.

It's a fun game but it's a broken game. Several glitches are badly visible and at some point affects the gameplay. Hopefully they would fix it. Overall a fun good game.
