Worthy of the Best Picture Oscar. It's an upfront, biting commentary on the pedophile coverup in the Catholic Diocese in Boston, and for that matter, typical of what has happened in the USA and around the world. A delicate subject matter handled brilliantly.

Great movie! I was raised Catholic and have been disgusted with the depth of the corruption in the clergy about child abuse. The movie gives a great account of the discovery and difficult realization for the journalists of the Boston situation. A must see!

Even though the subject material may be difficult, the way it's delivered makes it informative and creates an awareness to the cause. Great cast who all seem to work well together and deliver a powerful performance and create a lasting and emotional film.

Spotlight is the best movie I've seen this year. Definitely deserving of the Best Picture Oscar win. Mark Ruffalo should have won an Oscar for his performance. He's the best part of this movie. Rachel McAdams is also another standout! Great all around!!!!

This was a great, eye-opening story. You have to follow the story line carefully from the start though or you'll get lost. Some unexpected twists and turns made this really interesting.

Because of my heritage and background, and age, I lived through these times and think this movie is a very dramatic statement and hopefully a lesson for people everywhere. No one should ever just sit on the sidelines when they know things are wrong.

One of the years top notch movies. A movie that starts small in scale and grows beyond anyones wildest dreams. The thought process and journey through these reporters are some of the best pieces of writing that you wil see in a movie. A Must Buy!

As a working journalist, I'm always drawn to movies about the profession, especially when those movies show the work having an impact on society. This was one of the best portrayals of working a story and really affecting change through the work.

I didn't know a whole lot about this movie before watching except that it won the Academy Award and that it was based on true events. It was excellent!!! It brought to the forefront many details of which I wasn't aware. I highly recommend it!!!

Spotlight is the best movie of 2015 by a landslide. The filmmakers managed to tell a sensitive story with force, intelligence, and just enough humor to keep it from being too much to take. Performances are stellar across the board. Just see it.

To review the film, I'd say SPOTLIGHT is amazing, powerful, empathetic, kind, and oh, so smart, but the home video release skimps on what could have been a great collection of extra features (that I had imagined, anyway). What's there is good, and insightful, but is over with so quickly, that all I could do was return to the film, to experience it again.

I loved this movie! I don't think you have to be religious to follow or understand it. It's a great movie about a topic that should really be looked at and unfortunately it shows how a very powerful institution can hide or cover things up.

True stories always capture my attention and this one being in my backyard no less in Boston, Ma. Great cast, direction, story, and execution. A tense true event that happened and not a lot of people knew about. A great watch for the list.

I remember watching this movie in the theater and I had to sit there for a couple minutes afterward just to gather myself. This film is mind-blowing in its subject matter and absolutely deserves it's Best Picture Oscar.

This is a riveting story from first hearing it and reading in newspapers. The cast and crew did an excellent job of tastefully bringing this story to life. Take the time to watch this and you will be entranced and pulled into the storyline.

Extraordinary actung and filmmaking. Fantastic reacreation and beyond into the important work done by the Boston Globe's Spotlight team investigating the misconduct of priests as covered up and condoned by the Catholic Chirch. A must see.

A little bit like "All the Presidents Men," except the scandal involves the Catholic Church rather than the White House. This is a sad story about priests abusing children. At the same time it is a wonderful story about how the press did its job and overcame obstacles to inform the public. Well worth viewing

I had heard about this movie but I did not see it until AFTER I bought it. I heard the stories and saw the academy awards. I am glad I purchased this movie and the gamble paid off. GREAT MOVIE, deserved every award it got.#bestbuyforlife

this of course will remind people of "all the presidents man" and the deep reporting the journalists go to to uncover the crimes of the priests. great acting by everyone. this film also reminds of a film a saw years ago named, "the boys of st. vincent" another story of priest pedophiles. check it out if you can find it its worth buying or renting.
