Perfect tiny rice cooker

We wanted a small rice cooker, with a stainless steel cooking pot, and this fit the bill. We saw the larger version of this in my brother's house, and liked how the rice came out. This tiny version will let you cook 2.5 cups uncooked rice (using the provided cup). It says you can do 3 cups uncooked (of the provided cup size), but that may be the most. Note the design of the cooker requires you to put water both in the stainless pot with the rice, and also in the base as well for even cooking. It has a warming feature, and just let the stainless rice pot soak in the sink before cleaning. Other reviewers elsewhere mention rust - but I see no such issues, and we use daily. The lid does bubble, but we have not had any leak over the sides as others mention.

Rusty spot on the bottom of the rice cooker

I like the rice cooker, good looking, small size and fast coming. However, I found some rusty spots (4 to 5 noticeable rusty spots) on the bottom of the rice cooker. I tried cooking three times, see if the problem still existed and all three times having rusty spots, the same. I am not sure what kind of the stainless steel been usded, not 316ss for sure. Therefore, I have decided to return it.
