You know with Melissa McCarthy it is going to be funny. In my opinion, she has two funny modes: 1) funny silly and sometimes stupid and 2) situational funny. This is the latter and very well done. I love the Jason Statham bit. He is usually in much more serious movies so this is very different for him. Just an all around enjoyable movie.
