Easy to set up & easy to use. I have 2 readers & had to use one for the first time at the last minute. There was no need to set up the 2nd reader, it just worked! Super convenient.

I bought several Square strip swiping, chip reading units for my club. In general, they ran well and everyone was pleased. The two things I learned was (1) to keep them charged and (2) ensure that the cashiers understand that the card must be seated correctly for the chip to be read. Once we mastered the basics our sale went quite smoothly!

This product works great when it works. Sometimes multiple swipes are required to get the card to read, you also have to be very strategic in placing your chips for it to work. Still a much better and more affordable option then purchasing and paying monthly fees on a tabletop card reader for small business. Ours also stopped working within 4 months of minimal use and had to be replaced.

This card reader is great to help protect you as a seller. Since most cards are using a chip, the chip reader was very handy.

I wanted a swipe and chip reader without spending a fortune on monthly fees or a bulky machine on a deck that I would have to buy. Easy to use, my customers can give a percentage tip or customize a new amount. Make sure to charge every night, it won't connect to do transactions on low battery.

Great device for all types of events. We just needed a credit card device for our occasional fundraiser and this one fit the bill. It was very easy to set up and takes both types of cards out now.

I was kind of bummed that Square didn't offer anything to current members but retail price being only $30 for a piece of credit card equipment is really a bargain.

I have been a big fan of Square Chip readers. I even have the Blu-tooth version I keep at home. I got this portable one for the chip cards to keep in my massage bag. The main thing to remember is to charge the unit so it can read the chip card. Otherwise this thing is golden. I heartily approve getting it if you don't get the blu-tooth reader instead. (That one does Apple Pay and Google Wallet)

It works while waiting for square to get the chip card reader for square stand ready. However you can not use the printer while using this reader. Not really a fan, however need to use for chip cards. If you don't use the square stand, it's great.

This is larger than the original square reader. It does not fit with the cover on my phone but once connected it works great. I find that the chip reader is easier to use than the swipe readers. I just charge it every night. The biggest delay is waiting for the reader to connect to the app when pulled up to use.

If you own your own company or make money money on the side. This is the way to go..it is so much easier to get when you can accept any form of payment..

Looked in several stores. Not all options in stock so I shopped around. Finally had a salesperson locate a store that had this particular item in stock. Relatively easy to activate! Appreciate that it accommodates card and chip reading.

Easy to use. Be sure to charge it up otherwise unable to take a chip or swipe payment. Manual inputs have a higher fee. Perfect for a small business.

Store was out, salesman went on line to find a store in town that had the product I needed. I got a square credit card reader. I am very pleased.

If you take credit cards, you will need this to accept chip credit cards to avoid the possibility of swiping and not reading chip cards.
