Needed this card reader to collect money for a school fundraiser. Have never used one before and was impressed with how easy it was to use. Worked flawlessly as well. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a card reader. Easy to find at Best Buy and the staff was helpful too.

It is very easy to use and setup is instant. However, once the transaction is completed by using this device, the funds do not post until the next day.

Used this item to answer "yes" from "do you take debit?" at a party where i was the photographer. Rendered on-site prints for purchase to guests and accepted $120 in debit purchases. Otherwise, would have had to turn the sale away. Device had total amount collected already in email the next day. Deposit into bank was fast and seamless.

I love this! I make jewelry for a hobby and sell my wares at craft shows. I decided to try the Square, since most people pay by credit card nowadays, and some of my pieces are a little expensive. I've only used the Square once, but it was great! So easy to set up, and never had an issue. Used it all day without a problem.

With new credit card requirements an EMC reader is really what is needed for running credit cards and this does not fulfill that, but this is a lot smaller and easier for quick purchases if you do not mind the added liability credit card companies pass onto the user when there is customer fraud.

Good product to have if you’re planning on starting a small business

So I wasn’t sure if this would work for me . I have a iPhone 8+ which doesn’t have a headphone jack . The iPhone 8 comes with lighting headphones with a dongle to connect older headphones to lighting. So I used that dongle and it works . Set up is easy and quick and the small cut square takes is not bad . I used this for a garage sale and it helped me sell big ticket items . The app works well too and it only takes a few days to get transactions. The only issue is swiping with credit card is not straight forward, my customers didn’t know which way worked . It should have some icon or direction pointing the way . We figured it all out and it was all good . I definitely would recommend this to everyone who does garage sales or business digitally .

Great for self employed, small enough to carry anywhere, simple set up on phone for people to sign and even tip. If you like to sell stuff on websites this would be great since most people don't carry cash and don't have to take trip to bank

I bought the Sqaure Reader so I could take credit cards for my new business. The Square Reader is perfect and great for working remotely. Only downfall is that I need to manually take credit card numbers and not swipe them and there is a higher per transaction percentage to do that plus a $.15 charge per transaction to do that. Had I known that in advance I might have not gotten it and looked for other options. But it still does the job and works though.

The set up was quick and easy. Once the app is on the device, you only need to have the square near by to process a charge. You only need to plug it in for the app to download or to swipe the card if the buyer is present. The fees are a little higher for manual entry if the card is not present.

Skeptical at first but now I'm a true believer. This product works. Set up was easy and started running transactions almost instantly. FYI set up the account 7 days before expecting funds in your bank account. Square needs to verify and set up your account. Once set up, transactions are fast and easy.

I got this for my boyfriend to use for payments for his side gig. It's perfect. It's so small and so easy to use. He had no problem getting his money from it either. Absolutely perfect for small businesses or little side gigs! Super inexpensive.

This was a great purchase... I just started my business and did not want to purchase a terminal for credit card processing. This is great and it only charges you when you use it. There are no monthly fees or start up fees plus they deposited $10.00 into the business account for using... Not bad... Thanks Square...

Works great! Allows us to take cards in situations that would have been cash only previously. They do take a small fee for the service, which isn't the best, but it's a small fee for the convenience and added amount of customers that can now be included.
