Good beginner guitar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this upgraded Squier SA100 pack from Guitar Center after seeing it on a stand and checking it out.Never had or played a Squier before so I was curious after reading all the reviews which are good.I sat down and played it and was impressed by the sound as well as quality for a low end Fender. Low action and easy to play as I'm an adult beginner with smaller hands. Frets are smooth and level not sharp, tuners are ok holds tune well. Finish is nice.Remember people this is a laminate spruce top, sides and back guitar and for the price a good deal don't expect a Taylor or Martin but it holds it's own and is really good for a budget, knock around beater guitar so you don't ruen your expensive one (Martin). I highly recomend for any beginner this pack or the Ibanez IJV50 jump start pack as well as the Yamaha gig maker. I have had no problems with this guitar I did change the strings and it sounds alot better mellow and warm. I have had it for 3 months and taken it to bars, parks ect. thrown it in my trunk ,spilled beer on it and still looks good this guitar can take minor dings and abuse.Bridge pins, saddle and nut are plastic as to be expected for 99.00.This guitar is for practice and fun not gig worthy but can be a back up as a last resort.I also did reaserch o it for 2 months before I bought it. Bottom line buy it.What the heck if the kid or you decide guitar isn't for you or lose interest your only out 100.00 bucks not 200-500 or more.Tuner is good throw out the junk gig back and buy a good one or case and other stuff is free so don't expect much but it works.
