great heavy metal band of all time and a bonus dvd

This is not one of my favorite groups and do not own anything by them. Just purchased for a friend for his birthday who is a fan.

Good Album combo, cd/dvd. Again, not the same sound as their earlier work but still good.

Excellent performance by Metallica on their toughest album. No gratuitous guitar noodling or tuned vox here. Its like lifting the glossy veneer to witness the well-oiled, synchronized, intricate machinery underneath.

This CD is awful. I've bought this exact CD 2 times, on 2 separate occasions & every single one skips very badly. And when I call customer support, they said to ship it back & they'd send me a new one. However, there's a catch - I'd be paying S & H. So in order to get a non-skipping CD (hopefully), I'd end up paying more than the price of the actual CD. Very unfair in my opinion. They sent me another one & IT SKIPPED. Didn't bother sending it back. Few months later, bought it again & IT SKIPPED. Gave up getting a working CD. All three skipped on the exact same songs. Very disappointed because I love Metallica & really wanted this CD.

This is definitely my least favorite Metallica album but overall it's not terrible I enjoy most of the songs it's jut way different than the normal Metallica

Not bad. But the lack of solos hurt this album....
