I was impressed with the visual effects as well as the native stereo 3D. Avoid the dubbing at all costs, as that lessens the impact of the acting when dubbed into English.

Some of "Stalingrad's" detractors have an issue with some of its 'historical accuracy'. Well folks, this film is not meant to be a by-the-numbers documentary, it is entertainment! For $5, I couldn't complain on that front

Movie isn't the greatest but I was looking to try out my new 3D TV. I didn't realize that 3D is somewhat limited in what you can find as far as blu-rays go. The ones you can find are usually a little more expensive so finding a decent 3D movie for a good price makes it all worth it.

Let me begin by saying that this is not an action movie...it is a drama. While there are many battle scenes these are not the focus of the movie. It is about the struggles of people caught up in the battle of Stalingrad, soldiers (Russian and German) and civilians. The story is told by a rescuer (whose mother survived Stalingrad) to a victim under the rubble after a tsunami in Japan over half a century later. Great story...great acting. Highly recommended.

I had to turn off the 3-d effects because of extreme ghosting. the actors and story were good and the action scenes were spectacular. As a historical film it left much to be desired, Nothing like what happened in the movie could have possibly occurred in real battle for Stalingrad.

My biggest disappointment was in the end all of sudden the Germans have all theses tanks now to move forward it's like where they come from all fresh. The Russians acted liked Americans which was phony too. However great video quality. I think the director needs a history lesson.

Excellent cinematography; story was somewhat weak. The most interesting aspect of this movie was getting a feeling of how the Russians viewed the Great Patriotic war. The 3d was pretty good too.

The film was good and I don't particularly like 3D movies, but this was different somehow. It was better in 3D. The surrounding atmosphere, the apartment building and the special effects were amazing!

Please watch this in the original Russian language instead of the English dubbed track. Great use of 3D with spectacular visuals and an immersive soundtrack. Not much in the way of extras though.

This movie is great. Great story, amazing cg visuals and overall a great WW2 history flick. The only thing I don't care for is the sub titles.

I was surprised how well the 3-D was used in this film. It was a little difficult to follow at times due to the overlapping stories and subtitles. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

While not as strong as Enemy at the Gates, it provides a look at the battle from a Russian perspective. The sound seemed too loud at the battle scenes compared with the rest of the movie.

Purchased the the movie to the 3D feature and it didn't disappoint, another good movie to watch in 3D.

I was very surprised about the quality of this movie. I bought it on a lark because of the subject matter and couldn't believe the action, character portrayals and profoundly excellent production values and cinematic look of the film. the dubbing was so good you couldn't tell they were speaking Russian. once again it was profoundly enlightening to see the level of barbarity both the Russian defenders of Stalingrad and the German soldiers descended to. as good as Enemy at the Gates with Jude Law and Rachel Weiscz and Ed Harris.

I've watched this movie before I purchased it. It's a good movie, and I enjoy the time period in which this movie takes place. It's gets slow at times, but is well worth it.

This is not a great movie and I would not recommend watching it in 2D. But the 3D effects are really good and I would recommend the 3D version if the movie is on sale.

The film making is high quality (cinematography, editing, effects, etc...), however nothing new/groundbreaking in the genre. Get it on sale and it's a good purchase!

Good package with BluRay and 3D BluRay. While most of the attention in WWII is focused on the Western Front/D Day, the Eastern Front gets short changed. Without battles such as Stalingrad, the war could easily have gone another way.

I did not know this movie was not done in English. Appeared to be a decent historical action film. There is English, Russian, and German used in the movie so trying to figure out what was being said was a little difficult even with sub-titles...
