This is basically an upgraded production of the original Star Blazers. The story is almost identical to the original story with just some minor name changes. A really great production quality and story!

I have been waiting for this series to be released in the us. And finally it is here! AMAZING!!!! I can't wait until the rest of it is released!

This first in the US anime was my first experience as well. As far as I know, this has been out of print since around 1990. It's great to see it back again!

If you are an Sci- Fi Anime fan then Star Blazers will not disappoint. I highly recommend this for your collection

I had not seen the original, just a Robotech fan that came across this and tried it out. Really enjoying it as are my children 12 and 14.

If you were a fan of the original Star Blazers series then your gonna love this reboot. All the classic elements and beautifully animated.

I watched the original StarBlazers on tv way back when all and was hoping that what went to blu-ray was just like its out on DVD, with the original voices and dialogue. What I found was the opposite. This sounds more like an updated dialogue version as well as the names used by the Japanese for their version. eg. Wildstar is named Koda or Kodai. If you are a fan of the originals, and were hoping that this might be them finally in blu-ray format, you will be sadly disappointed. For those of you new to the series, they might like it. I'm in between on this as its reminds me of what I originally saw but in a new way.

I remember watching the original Star Blazers series as a kid. This brings back wonderful memories and I love this new version.

Star Blazers is a must have for anybodies anime collection. It is old school, but it tells a story that needs to be watched

The original was the first anime I'd ever seen as a kid and was hooked at the outset (in 1970-something). I really enjoyed the series this time around as well.

Fans of the original Star Blazers will enjoy the new updated version. Glad to have Blu Ray released in the US.

Interesting take on the 80’s cartoon, it was odd that they used the Japanese names for the characters.

This is a favorite from my childhood. Great to see it included the digital copies.

The transfer to blu-ray looks great and the visuals are stunning as well.
