Great product, great price, will use for years to come

The original Series was so beloved that this remake wasnt just remastered, it was completely re-animated from the ground up. With some tweaks to the original story line. This second season to the new release of Star Blazers is visually outstanding. The depth and complexity of the story is nothing short of mind blowing. If you love animation for the amazing artwork and complex stories that are rarely ever found in live action. Starblazers 2202 and the first season is what you are craving. Get it while you can. Best Buy has had a problem keeping them in stock.

This is the 2017 remake of the 70's anime known in the US as Star Blazers. 2202 covers the Comet Empire storyline, and features the original Japanese names for the characters instead of the American TV versions. (Kodai instead of Wildstar, for instance.) The storyline is slightly different from the original version, but the animation is clean and beautiful on Blue Ray.

This is an excellent remake of season 2 of Space Battleship Yamato from 1978. Great modern looking animation and exciting story over 26 episodes. Be sure to watch 2199 before this series though. It's one long story.

It’s good, but not as great as 2199. The story deviated a lot from the second season of Starblazers (that’s what I grew up calling it). We just finished watching it and my six year old flat out said he liked the first one better than this one. It was heavy on the story, light on action. I thought it was good, it’s just not as close to the original second season as 2199 was to the original first season. Lastly, good luck on the digital code. It only works on Funimation and that app doesn’t work on anything we own.

Digital remake of original show absolutely wonderful follows original show!

The new version is worth to see can hardly wait for series 3
