Star Wars without a budget

Building a selection of movies that were greatly influenced by the release of Star Wars back in '77 includes some rather interesting titles. Star Crash has been toted as "what Star Wars would have been if it didn't have a budget".
Still using "old" film techniques like ships on wires and no blue screen, Star Crash proves that Star Wars could have ended up in the bottom of some bargain bin had anything Lucas worked on deviated from what we know now.
This is another one of those silly French sci-fi movies that you will find all too common once you start researching movies related to Star Wars.
While not the greatest movie of any of those you will find, it certainly has all the quirky dialogue, over-acting actors/actresses, special effects that pale in comparison to what Star Wars had accomplished, stop motion robots, and a pre-Knight Rider David Hasslehoff.
It also manages to work in horrible slow-mo laser death scenes, scantily clad ladies, a world of space amazons, and continuity errors galore.
Get this one if you just enjoy bad sci-fi movies and have yourself a laugh!

This is a great dvd for what little money I paid for it! Even though it's missing the usual New World Pictures trailers like on other Shout Factory/Roger Corman Cult Classics DVDs it does have 2 theatrical trailers for Star Crash as well as a tv spot, two radio spots,&an interview with the film's director, Luigi Cozzi. With this dvd this a reversable dvd cover artwork sheet, dvd liner notes booklet,&more!
