Overall a great game; graphics are smooth, the walker mode and new chopper are great additions. Two things I didn't care for are... 1: Rehashing original story yet again. and 2: I wish using the controllers screen for precision aiming was an option instead of mandatory. Although it does add an extra level of difficulty to the game, so if you like extra challenge it may not be a negative effect for you.

The controls take some time to get used too, but once down, this game is a lot of fun.

Originally read a few reviews that panned the control scheme, but using the Wii U gamepad seemed pretty intuitive to me. After a few levels I was used to it and began to enjoy using the motion to aim and shoot. Occasionally the camera angle gets off, but can be corrected via a button press. Overall better than I was lead to believe. I recommend it to fans of Star fox or space shooters in general.

If this wasn't a StarFox game, I don't people would care much about it. I loved the original StarFox and StarFox 64. This is basically more of the same. I don't really like the new controls on the touchscreen that much. I think the touchscreen could have been used for much more interesting things.
I do however, like the bonus StarFox Guard game that comes with this. It's a cool, unique game.

Starfox Zero is a remake of Starfox 64 which many including myself regard as a classic. Zero will take patience and an open mind to be patient and understand that the implemented motion controls will take some getting used to. If you can get over the fact there isn't a standard classic control scheme then you'll find yourself having that good ole Nintendo fun....do a barrel roll!

Brings Star Fox back to its old form with a fresh take on classic gameplay. Control scheme takes some getting used to, but it really comes together by the final boss fight. Game brings back all the fondness of Star Fox 64. Fans both old and new will enjoy the experience.

The graphics are amazing, and the story is interesting, but the controls and lack of control options are terrible. This is not a game for casual gamers, and I believe it would still take a while for hard-core gamers to master. Very disappointed.

The game is much more fun in Co-Op mode.
Single player, the controls in this game aren't necessarily bad. Our tiny brains just can't comprehend them. Playing this game at times feels like the video game equivalent of patting your head and rubbing your belly at the same time.
Also, if you like puzzle or tower defense games, then getting Star Fox Guard is a nice bonus.

It´s a good game, but just that. Unfortunately, the game is short and the motion controls are not the best.

StarFox 64 is hailed by many as a classic on rails shooter. This entry on the Wii U is a remake of the Nintendo 64 iteration. Where it may frustrate some gamers is the complex motion controls implemented. If you're open to fresh ways to play and don't mind a bit of a challenge with learning curves, this will be right up your alley. Do a barrel roll!

If you're expecting a sequel to Star Fox 64, you'll be disappointed.
If you're expecting a new Star Fox adventure with some wacky controls, you'll be pleased.
It takes a while to get used to using the game pad to both aim and fly, but after a while it becomes second nature and it's a good time. Not the best Star Fox, but not the worst.

Big Star Fox fan, so glad there is finally a new game. The controls will take an hour or 2 to pick up, but once you understand them, you'll be fine. It's a remaster of sorts from the Nintendo 64 game. The levels have more variety, but there are times you just want to fly.
Lack multiplayer or online leaderboards. Those are main gripes.

If you played the Nintendo 64 version of this game you will cry from the nostalgia. A few throw backs to the very first one and it was incredibly fun to play 2 player. My husband and I played this co-op and I loved it. The controls got a little complicated occassionally, but it was such a fun game that it was easy to ignore the awkwardness.
Please keep in mind that this game (<--game) is for fun and if you hate fun then you probably shouldn't buy it. It's definitely more fun in co-op mode - I wanted to tear out my hair in solo - but I would buy it again and we still play it so we can beat all the levels. My 4 year old loves walker mode and caught on to the controls much faster than I thought he would.
If you ever played any other Star Fox then you need to own this game. It was an awesome throw back and worth the money.

Star Fox fans have been waiting for a proper sequel for a long time and this game will not disappoint them. Though there are some new gameplay elements for a new generation overall the game will be exactly as you fans remember it.
Game won't wow with the graphics but the smooth 60FPS and Platinum tuned gameplay will make fans happy.
