While somewhat uneven at times, this first season of Star Trek: Discovery featured an excellent cast, dynamic (if as I mentioned uneven) script writing and story telling, and incredible sets and effects. The score is also great, and worthy of purchasing if you like soundtracks. All in all I am looking forward to Season 2 with excitement.

If you are like me and don't want to pay a monthly Fee for CBS All Access but Love Star Trek, this is exactly what you are looking for. Great Picture, sound, and All the Star Trek Goodness you can handle.

I am a long-time Star Trek fan and have been totally bummed that I was not able to watch this new series without paying to. Went on a two day binge watching the whole first season and it is exceptional!

I'm glad that this came out for purchase. The show has lots of action and twists/turns. The characters in the series are amazing. I'm ready for season 2 to come out even though it just started on TV.

This series takes place before The Original series in light of the begining of the Klingon War and the Federations Secret Weapon, The Discovery! They manage to cover the Klingon War and the Mirror Universe in this Great First season of STAR TREK- DISCOVERY!

Superb special effects and solid acting with a storyline that will earn your new edition loyalty. Really conveys the risks and challenges of life and service in space for extensive periods. Great character development and nail-biting episodes.

Star Trek Discovery adds a new dimension to the Star Trek series. It combines the former sci-fi nerdiness of the previous editions and adds a layer of depth, darkness and sophistication to it like you'd see in other series like Game of Thrones.

I'm a longtime Trek fan, all the way back to TOS. I mention that simply because a lot of hardcore fans love to hate this show. It's intelligent, fun, and visually stunning. Give it a shot and hopefully you'll see how good this series is.

This is a very well written series. The story takes place in the years before The Next Generation. The story is full of action and always keeps you engaged in the story line. If you like Star Trek this will not disappoint

I know some people aren't pleased with Star Trek Discovery because they have to pay to watch it and/or it's new and doesn't look like the old Star Trek TOS show. But I highly enjoyed Discovery and am looking forward to Season 2.

We have, I believe, three Star Trek universes. We have the originals. We have the movie reboots. And now we have Discovery. This show takes us back to Rodenberry's roots with a stellar cast (pun intended) and great writing. So glad I own it since I don't use streaming services like CBS.

I can say I was amazed how much I loved this new show despite the awful Klingon redesigning , once the story kicked in I forgot about their appearance and enjoyed the ride .

Great fan of the genre and just didn't want to pay more to stream one show that is only available for streaming. Surprisingly found the blue rays at great price at Best buy and now can watch at my leisure with extras

Whether you are watching Star Trek: Discovery for the first time or watching it again, this is a must for any Star Trek fan. The extras alone are worth the purchase. Much better than paying for a subscription.

The stories are interesting, the cast is great and the budget must have been extreme because everything looks stunning. This is well worth owning due to copious extra features and rewatchability.

I had seen adds for this internet/tv series for a while, and since growing up a Star Trek fan I bought the blue ray collection ... It was way better than I thought it would be and highly recommend it!

It is a refreshing take on the Startrek world. I did not watch it on tv as they wanted to charge a monthly fee to watcn. So I waited for it on Blu-ray so I can binge watch it. Now waiting for season 2.

I've seen every episode of Star Trek from the beginning! This series is no different, and maybe even better. Looking forward to every upcoming episode and series as long as they're making them!!

I bought this for my husband who is a huge star trek fan as a late Christmas present. we enjoyed watching this season one. it was a good plot line and story. I will be buying the next season too.

They brought Star Trek back if your not sure if you like season 1 season 2 is even better! So far its a good story and a little bit crazy but good! Give it a chance its Cool too!!!
