It's like watching this series with all new eyes. The blu-ray treatment is a sumptuous feast for the sensations. Crystal clear audio. Beautiful scenery. This Trek series is a fest for the fans.

Took a chance buying this, DID NOT want to subscribe to CBS just to watch one show. So far it’s really good. Season one is amazing and I’m patiently waiting for the season two release.

Always been a Trekkie. I understand why some hardcore fans are hating Discovery but it has enough science behind the action to keep you hooked. Aesthetically looks like JJ Abrams reboot.

I bought season 1 of Star Trek Discovery Blu-ray for less than what I would have paid for the CBS All Access service. I might add, I won't have to watch any commercials either. Any questions?

I heard Star Trek Discovery was good, but I did not want CBS All Access. The Blue Ray quality is excellent and the storyline so far is good.

This season of Star Trek Discovery feels like an episodic movie, continuing to develop the characters throughout and the special effects are great. Looking forward to season 2.

heard and read a lot of different opinions on this series, enjoyed it more than I expected good storyline good special effects....but would I pay a subscription fee to cbs ...ah no.

This series was surprisingly interesting and engaging. The effects were outstanding. Some of the differences from the previous series were a little hard to adjust to. Timeline in the Star Trek Universe is a little confusing.

Surprisingly very good. Still personally like the original with Kirk and Spock and Star Trek Voyager are the best but this was well done with a good story and great action.

Star Trek fans will not be disappointed in this series. Sticking to a true Star Trek adventure its safe to say this is one of my favorites out of the series.

It kept you guessing as to direction and where it belonged in the ST Universe until the end, and the twists will keep you interested in what happens next.

Good Show. Good price. Enjoyed a lot. Too bad Season 2 wasn't available at the time and price. Cheaper than a ssubscription to CBS All Access.

Great new star trek series. Wish it came in 4k. The only concern is the appearance of the Klingons. They don't look like what we've seen previously.

Even though the new Star Trek series is geared to be PC and embraces the millennials, it’s good Star Trek entertainment for us OG fans.

I wasn’t sure whether I would enjoy Star Trek Discovery. The purchase of this DVD was a good decision. I enjoyed all episodes very much.

This new star trek spinoff has good special effects for television

Star trek discovery Surprised me I wasn't expecting it to be very good. It was excellent can't wait for season 2 to be out on dvd.

Different, but pretty good. Of course the Star Trek lore can be created with new back stories. But anything Star Trek is enticing.

This is a great addition to the Star Trek universe. Hoping that they will reconcile the changes in cannon. Good entertainment.
