Got this as a gift for my Father, it took me sometime to track down the Blu-Ray version

I have a subscription to CBS All Access and was disappointed by the quality of the streaming. The streaming audio was Dolby Pro Logic and the picture quality was disappointing at times. The blue ray version is much better with uncompressed DTS HD Master audio the the picture is pristine. Only 4 four stars because I wish CBS would have released a 4K UHD version with Dolby Atmos or DTS-X, but this set is well worth buying if you have a high end home theater system or if you don't have a subscription to CBS All Access. The content is wonderful.

Good acting, Excellent sets and Interesting Aliens. But this series takes on a darker atmosphere than previous incarnations.

I think the series improved with season 2, but season 1 is worth buying

A great addition to the Star Trek lineup. So glad CBS released it on disc.
