Love this show, love this steelbook design!!!!!!!!

Just join the adventure and add Star Trek Discovery Season Two to your collection. Go ahead and be done with it because despite all the negative comments mentioned about last season we are still Trekkies from one aspect to another. Most people either love or hate anything involving Star Trek. Since we are gathered here writing and reading reviews about Star Trek Discovery simply means that we are Trekkies and love it. Let's be grateful and hopeful that the Star Trek Discovery seasons continue. I purchased the SteelBook Blu-Ray of Season Two and enjoyed the ride as always and hope you will too. So go ahead and just be done with it...

*No Spoilers* This new Star Trek has been a joy to watch. The money spent is seen in every frame and the stories and character are rich and detailed. If you are a fan of sci-fi or Star Trek you should be watching this show. It's a great show to binge as well so buying the season is the way to go. The steelbooks for both seasons are beautiful as well, but I have a steelbook problem. Only real negative is I wish more of the Short Treks were included on the season set, but maybe they were not released when this product was being made. There is probably 10 of them now and they are great additions to the lore and world.

The search for Spock, rouge A.I., and time travel. That about sums up the second season. What a great season it is too. With tribute to the Star Trek of old, they really nailed the writing. It’s also good to see a well known Captain get a chance to shine. It’s full of action, humor and drama. This is a great steelbook set, and I’m happy to own. The only negative I have is they spread out the extras on all discs. I prefer them on one disc. Still the extras are good, and love the gag reel. Pick this up if you can, it’s a must own.

And at warp speed at that!! More refined and coherent than season one but when will we meet Kirk?

haven't watched it yet but I've heard great things of season 2 and am looking forward to it.

I did not hate on the first season of Discovery nearly as much as a lot of other people did, but it felt like it didn't really find its footing. Season 2 definitely feels like a step in the right direction. I love Anson Mount as Captain Pike and everyone else's characters feel a lot better fleshed out this season. The season overall has great pacing and some very classic-feeling episodes dispersed throughout the overarching story. I will wait with bated breath for season 3; with the abrupt setting change I just hope they don't lose the momentum they've built up in this 2nd season. Overall quality of the Blu-ray is excellent in both sound and and image. It's disappointing there isn't a 4K Blu-ray offering (if for no other reason than to add HDR), but I did not find myself wanting for it while watching it on my 75" 4K TV.

I like the story line. The story is sometimes a little confusing.

If you’re really into the lore and overarching universe of Star Trek to the point that you know how many decks are on a ship, you’ll find massive inconsistencies here with the general timeline. If you’re a casual viewer that thought the original Star Treks were cool, you’ll like this. It’s very different, but enjoyable. I can see why hardcore fans hate it though. It gave them the bird. I will not deny that.

Saeason two of Discovery is far superior to season one due to the guest appearances of classic trek characters, Spock, Pike and Number One. Anson Mount is exceptional as Captain Pike, so much so that there is talk of a spinoff series staring him. the season long story has a powerful climax that will set up season three free of Star Trek history, something long time fans should feel good about.

I don't want to pay for a CBS subscription so I have to wait till this Blu-Ray comes out in order to watch. I was never a big Star Trek fan but aware of the general characters. This season introduced more of the classical Star Trek characters back in and was enjoyable. Didn't like as much as the first season but still excellent for a tv series and high quality in graphics and picture.

I am a trekkie, have been since 1972. I thought Discovery season 1 was excellent. Season 2 is seven episodes on one story line and does not come close to season 1 terms of writing or excitement. There is no "sitting on the edge of your seat."

We finished seasons one and two now and two is even better than the first season. Great story line. Lots of twists and turns. Excellent extra features. And of course a climax that makes you want to come back for season three. Couldn't ask for more. As I commented on season one, the sound quality is just outstanding.

STD is excellent, fun, sounds and looks - even if the sets are awfully dark - very well put together. Although I would have loved this in 4K, it's still a technically solid Blu-Ray. I really like the SteelBook, too. I normally don't care about those but this one' s beautiful.

Wow, talk about surprises, season two definitely keeps you on your toes. Well written and the cast is great as each chapter progresses. Definitely a lot full of surprises compared to season one. Now I can't wait for season 3.

Of course the Star Trek saga is an incredible journey and Star Trek: Discovery Season Two carries on the tradition. The steel book edition only available from best buy is a true collectors item.

Like Star Trek? Get this. I don't understand the hater reviewers out there. This is series is very enjoyable and the production values that go into this TV series, blows my mind.

This is one of the best Star trek series. Can not wait for season three Would recommend this TV series to any one that likes Sci-Fy Have watched twice

I've been waiting for this since The Cage was released on VHS in 1986 and this season still exceeded my expectations! bought this for a friend who enjoyed it as much as I did.
