Excellent! Best in series yet. Great special effects and characters. Great plots.

I love the visual effects and aesthetic of the show, just not sold on it being set in the TOS timeframe. It would have been a far better show if it were set later in the timeline, but I will buy/watch anything Star Trek related. Anson Mount is well cast.

I'm a long time Star Trek fan (I started by watching original broadcasts of TOS as a kid) and have enjoyed all the broadcast shows (TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, Enterprise). My biggest initial gripe was that CBS moved new shows from broadcast to streaming and made it expensive (for my tastes). My first opportunity to watch Discovery was buying BluRay sets (though Season 1 has been broadcast lately) but even those are more expensive than I like (and than the other shows). I bought/watched Season 1 last year and was disappointed (I wasn't impressed with things like using fungus for travel or the way Klingons were treated). Season 2, however, is much better. (There're still references to those S1 things, but the S2 focus is elsewhere.) In particular, the bad guy from S2 comes from (non-Kelvin-timeline) novels in the Trek-verse (with Dr. Bashir joining Section 31--to take it down from the inside--and discovering Control and working to defeat it). I enjoyed those books and like it when things get tied together nicely (unlike Disney totally trashing hundreds of novels to do their new story lines). Bonus Features for this set: some episodes have deleted scenes; one or two have commentary (though I've not listened); there are two Star Trek Short Treks (related to S2 episodes); and there are two or three hours of behind-the-scenes (technical) features.

If you like Star Trek, you will like this as well. We got the first season digitally but apparently they decided against offering it this time so Blu-ray it was.

Once again Star Trek discovery continues to impress the characters story and action are sure to keep you entertained picked a series up today you won’t regret it

It may not be UHD or 4k but the blu-ray picture quality is simply awesome, Especially if your T.V. or Blu-Ray Player has UHD or 4K up-scaling capabilities..

With the addition of Captain Pike, Spock and the crew of the Enterprise, this show is inspiring new audiences to fall in love with Star Trek all over again.

I love all things space and always enjoy seeing what the Star Trek franchise puts out next! Definitely an exciting new twist to the series!

I find prequels usually suck, but as long as you can deal with the big holes tech jumps and envisioning Spock that doesn't look like a younger Leonard Nimoy than you can absolutely enjoy this series.

Season. 2 is a ton better. The U.S.S ENTERPRISE.. Pike .. SPOCK ! CAN'T get any better. A must get.. enjoyed the 1st four episodes.

I enjoy the series. I refuse to pay for subscriptions and feed that machine. I physically own it and will always be able to watch it. I recommend buying both seasons and break out the popcorn.

3 episodes in and I already need to have season 3 on my list. Loving the new characters, wish they had more screentime though..

If your bandwidth doesn't make streaming practical, then you need to go with this Blu-ray set to enjoy hi-quality STD season 2.

This is a great Star Trek series and very entertaining. If you a fan of Star Trek i don't think you will be disappointed.

Wish this show was on regular TV but was again well worth the wait to seat down and enjoy watching it straight thru.

The series continues with the Capt Pike timeline, its well made and does the original series proud with the reboot.

I watched season 1, and was not too impressed. I got season 2 to see what the storyline would be on Christopher Pike. I was much more impressed by season 2 than season 1.

The plots and story line are more developed than season one. It’s a nice addition to the Star Trek family

If you liked season one you will like season two especially with the character of Spock in his early years

This is great addition to the Star Trek universe. I would recommend for any fan of the movies or shows
