I loved this movie when I saw it in theaters and now to have the amazing updates and picture quality is perfection. I am so happy to have this added to my movie collection. The picture quality is beautiful and a complete to my Star Trek collection.

A far cry better then the original theatrical release and the 2001 DVD release. The effects are amazing looking. This movie looks like it was just released this year. I am pleased with this release. I just hope they will release the long tv version of the movie on blu ray soon. I highly recommend getting this release over the theatrical release. For great movie.

Upgrades are nice. But i remember the original. It was still great.

While it's true that this movie is nowhere near as bad as some folks claim, it is very slow paced and at times very introspective. That said, this version is easily the best way to watch it. The runtime isn't much different, as the director tightened up some scenes while also inserting some deleted scenes. The updated visual effects look really good in 1080p, though they do tend to clash with how "70s" the rest of the film looks. You can skip this one if you choose, but if you're going to watch any version of The Motion Picture, make it this one.

Fantastic picture and sound mix as described on packaging!

Good Remaster. Added a few scenes that were mussing from the original release but could otherwise be found on the DVD version of the same-titled release. Minor gripe: I think it was a mistake to edit original bridge sound effects from the original series But that's jist me.

This director's cut is a great addition to any Trekkies collection. The picture and sound are top notch. And it has extra footage too.

this is by far the best looking star trek movie to date. This cut shows why a director's vision shouldn't be shortened or restricted. Just amazing!!

Excellent transfer of this movie on Blu-ray. It’s nice to see that Paramount spent time and money to get the definitive version of this film.

A must for star trek affectionatos. A fantastic upgrade over any other presentations.
