  • First ending good second leaves much to resolve

    The first movie was good and had a very good ending, but the second movie was only soured by the loss of one of the characters which could be resolved in ways involving the possibility of repairing The other timeline of the "Chris Pine, Captain Kirk/The Unstoppable Captain Kirk" and that crew saving Data and some of the other lost characters and even the Romulans

    These proved better than the originals, but the current iteration of movies is better. But a lot has to do with the better technology.
