I'm a Star Trek fan and have been since the original series appeared on TV. The new series and cast are exceptional, and, although they are not traditional, the re-telling of these characters is exceptionally well done. To watch the growth and development of these complex relationships in the new series is a delight. Smart writing, great acting, engaging stories. I will collect the entire series! Exciting, thoughtful, provocative, entertaining movie!

Star Trek: Into Darkness has a great cast and is a good continuation of the Chris Pine helmed series of Star Trek films. Lots of wild interactions in the film and the return of a historic villain. The villain could have been delved into a bit more but overall the movie is great. Worth a watch. Pack included Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital Copy of the film.

This was just a a different version of Wrath of Khan in a parallel universe frankly I was a little disappointed. If you're a fan of the franchise you'll probably enjoy the twist.

J.J. Abrams did a great job on this follow-up sequel to his 2009 Star Trek movie. The action drives this movie as it did the last one. I loved getting another look at characters we were already familiar with, along with the introduction of villains from series past. It made this movie more than just a refreshed sci-fi staple. Star Trek fans will love it, casual fans will appreciate a good story with characters they know, new fans will be wowed by the big screen action.

If you are a watcher of anything StarTrek then this one fits the bill. I have watched all the series as they have been produced in varying forms. The movies also as some might think different series or movies lack one thing or another, I like them all as they follow the original idea of adventure to other planets...this one hits that on the head. If you like anything StarTrek, then you should like this movie!

If you loved the "first" movie (reboot of the franchise), you'll definitely appreciate this installment. I was never a Star Trek fan until J.J. Abrams opened my mind to the amazing world of Star Trek. It's unfortunate it took so long for me to appreciate what Star Trek was truly about because I could've enjoyed the t.v. series with my older brother when we were adolescences growing up. Great stuff!

I love this movie. Wonderfully casted actors who played a modern version of classic TOS characters. Story line is an interesting spin on TOS movies. A lot more about action and explosions while also being less cerebral than classic Star Trek which is my only complaint. I wish it had a little more feel as classic Star Trek but this is a very entertaining and well-done movie all around,

This the 12th installment in the Star Trek franchise, this sequel to the 2009 STAR TREK, will excite those who have been Trekkies from the beginning. The plot is the background of a crucial enemy of star fleet and also some star fleet background from before Kirk went on his 5 year mission. After seeing this film, it makes you want to go back and view The Wrath of Khan all over again.

This movie has three advantages, director J.J. Abrams is back from the first movie. Two, his vision of what he started in the first movie is expanded and enlarged on in this the second movie of the reboot of the franchise. Three, the role of Khan, the series probably most famous nemesis, is filled out by the actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who manages not only to do a great job as a super villain also manages to bring empathy to the role. All of these things combine to make this a great movie and the best in the series in my opinion.

I think that "Star Trek: Into Darkness" was one of the greatest films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite films of all-time. I have seen and enjoyed this film several times and I also think that "Star Trek: Into Darkness" had a lot of entertaining, exciting and enjoyable action, mystery and suspense including an amazing and original suspenseful storyline.

A lot of people disliked this Star Trek film. Most said it was full of all the cliches from the old franchises. A lot of die hard trekkies would kill me for saying it but In my opinion these new Star Trek movies are better then all of the old ones. The new movies have amazing Sci-fi stories and beautiful space environments. Definitely the best looking space cgi I've seen in a while.

I may be somewhat biased - I watched the original TV series (just recently), all the original Star Trek movies so it is exciting to watch these newer movies portray younger versions of the characters. Benedict Cumberbatch performs awesome as Khan; I had already seen this movie in the theater before buying this movie-on-disc which is why I was excited to get this on video.

I really enjoyed this sequel in the rebooted alternate timeline of the Star Trek movie franchise. I particularly like most of the re0imagined storyline of Wrath of Kahn. However, Cumberbatch was not necessarily a good fit to play Kahn, although his performance was fantastic. The visuals and special effects were outstanding, regardless of some less than accurate physics, i.e. the Enterprise being underwater and insanely long range portable transporter. Being a fan of the original series and movie franchise, I still applaud this movie for continuing on its alternate timeline.

Not many movies make a great 2nd follow up movie. And doing a Star Trek follow up would be a challenage. Well the challenage went past all my fears and ended up to be a super movie. The first movie had all new characters for a Star Trek and as the movie went on in it's story you got settled down with the new people. When the 2nd movie came out you knew the cast so the focus was on the plot and it was great.

I was surprised that this was as good as it was. Star Trek has been around a long time and I thought they might have run out of good material. They haven't. The introduction of a character from the old series and one of the previous movies was a good idea and it worked well in connection with the plot. Again great performances from all the cast. Loved it from start to end. A must see in my opinion.

A very action-packed movie that I have grown to appreciate. I saw this at the theater and didn't care for it, my love for the original tv series kept me from liking the movie. Now that I have watched it years later, I now realize it is a great addition to the Star Trek universe.

I will admit I am not a "Trekkie" but I do like the original "Wrath of Kahn" film. It is one of the best "Space Sci-Fi" movies ever made. That being said, "Into Darkness" does a great job of staying in an established franchise history by making parrallels to the original Kahn Star Trek stories without making too many "wink-wink-nod-nod" moments. The plot is better than most summer blockbusters and made by film makers that enjoy the history of Star Trek. The cast is great and while I love Simon Pegg, I never see him as Scotty, I see him as Shaun.

Let's start with the basis that I'm a fan, and unless they really screw it up, I'm going to give 5 stars. In this case, they didn't screw it up, but I didn't enjoy it as much as its predecessor. It lacked the big, surprising conflict feel of the first. It did however hold my attention and interest. I did feel that it continued the building the character relationships.

JJ Abrams stays true to the Star Trek legacy with this movie. Even though there's a new cast, there are plenty of connections to the old storylines. It's a blast for all, but especially existing Star Trek fans!

Very well done Star Trek. The plot is good, the movie keeps you interested and leaves you wondering what will happen next. It is nice to see that Nimoy makes another appearance in the film. The film did leave a couple of questions about what happens in the future since the story didnt exactly line up with the original Star Trek series. Overall a great addition the the series.
