The original film series featuring the original cast was non-stop captivating. Of the six film feature, the one that really hit home was "Star Trek: The Voyage Home". It's my favorite amongst the original movie series. The storyline plot of saving earth and saving the most magnificent creature on the planet - the whales - is honorable and eloquent. As a long time Star Trek fan, I could not pass this purchase up. All 6 of the original Star Trek movies, digitally remastered and on Blue Ray, for less than the price of a single new release movie. So far, I have watched 1-4 (with the Wrath of Khan and the Voyage Home as my favorites). The image and sound quality are better than I could have hoped for.

My wife and I have watched these movies a lot over the years so we decided to get them on Blu-ray and watch them again. The Blu-ray versions are crystal clear. It's really been fun watching them, and since they are so clear, it does feel like we're seeing them for the first time. Although, not even Blu-ray can help the "Original Motion Picture", it's still.... well....just lame.

I am been a Star Trek fan since the original series aired in the late sixties and these movie versions in Blu-ray did not disappoint. In this movie package all of the original cast is brought to the screen. I think the initial 3 films are the best, but you be the judge as you enjoy. A lot interplay from Kirk, Spock, and McCoy keeps you guessing as to who will outwit who.

I have owned The Next Generation films on Blu-ray for some time now, and have been wanting the original series' cast movies on Blu-ray, too. I actually just went to Best Buy to purchase the Blu-ray of "Gravity", but saw this collection at what I thought was a very reasonable price, so I snapped it up, also. I'm very pleased with the quality of these films on Blu-ray.

What's the best way to enjoy Start Trek movies? Buy them in a bundle. Then sit down on a Friday evening and let em play! You'll love what Star Trek was all about with it's ongoing missions to boldly go where no man has gone before. Classic Star Trek adventures with all the original cast. What else can you say than "Beam me up Scotty!"?

The Star Trek movies speak for themselves. The blu ray quality of the 50th anniversary compilation is outstanding. The video is very good. Occasional grainy and blurry sections, but rare. Overall video is clear, crisp and good contrast. Audio is top notch. Good separation of channels and LFE. Very pleased with this 50th anniversary collection.

Never owned the six original Star Trek movies before and found this set on Blu-Ray. Wow, do they look great! Much better then watching broadcast or cable of same. Great price too. Next going to get the collection of all Star Trek TV episodes on Blu-Ray (tired of watching full screen format on BBC!

For fans who don’t yet have the Trek films at home, this may be a decent purchase; while the picture quality leaves something to be desired, there is still plenty of great content, lots of commentary from cast and crew, and plenty of interview features carried over from the earlier DVD releases. For the rest of us, however, it’s a disappointing reminder that the Paramount’s focus on STAR TREK BEYOND has left the original run of Trek films has been out in the cold. Here’s hoping this won’t be the last release of these films on home media.

What more can I say. These are the classic original Star Trek movies based on the original characters and space ships. The quality of these Blu-ray disks is stunning. The video and audio is much better than I remembered it to be. Great classic Star Trek movies all together in one collection.

If you're a fan of the original cast films and don't want the (admittedly great) Captain's Summit disc from the old set, this collection is an excellent alternative. For the price, you're getting everything from the old set, minus the bonus disc, with all the extra features in a smaller case.

Great to add to movie collection-I really only like the even numbered ones, but the entire collection price is better than trying to buy just the three that I would want. Any Star Trek fan should own this collection, especially if you've never seen the original cast movies!

Great Price on this movie set made me add to my collection. Be sure to review each move soon as I did have a return due to a freeze on The Search for Spock. Otherwise, Very Satisfied and have enoyed seeing the original crew again explore the Final Frontier!

Now I have seen reviews stating this is just the movies no extras. That is incorrect it is the movies in great crisp blue ray quality video and audio. And many extras from previous sets and some new. So if you don't have these yet get them and the case they are in are a space saver.

My dad doesn't care for the new Star Trek films but he absolutely loves the original television series. I bought this collection for him for Christmas 2016 & he's really enjoying getting to watch them all over again but at his leisure instead of when they're aired.

What more can I say...Break out your favorite snacks & drinks, and spend a night watching the REAL Star Trek movie adventures! Awesome! Much better entertainment than most all of the garbage Hollyweird makes now and calls "entertainment" now. Live Long and Prosper!!!

To have all 6 of the original crew movies in one collection is great, add to that the fact that it cost less than $4 a movie and you get HD....it was a no brainer. Now I can watch Capt Kirk and Spock and the original U.S.S. Enterprise in all her HD glory.

While it's great to have all 6 movies on Blu-ray in one set after they were digitally remastered (with TWOK being digitally restored), there is in my opinion a glaring error that prevents this from being 5 Stars. The version of TWOK in this set is the theatrical version, not the directors cut. While many collections omit directors cuts, it's especially ridiculous in a 50th Anniversary collection and the only reason I didn't rate this set a full 5 Stars.

I owned all the DVD version of this set (1st 6 movies). And I was comparing the DVD vs BluRay quality and it is like night and day. Especially on ship scenes. On the DVD, it lacks details or fuzzy. But on the BluRay, it's sharp. Glad I've bought this set.
