Fun game, got kind of boring after a while, buy if you like star trek

Most movie themed games are not done well this one is pretty good.

I had high hopes for a good Star Trek game but the horrible AI makes it a frustrating experience.

It's a good game, just not right for exciting game play. So when you want to just relax shoot some aliens mingle, put this on.

Typical of games based off of a movie,it basically sucks. Maybe if it had been an FPS it could've been a bit better.

the game was too cliche and lacked any real creativity. storyline was adhoc and not really planned out to well.

I was very excited when I learned of a new Star Trek game. I have been a fan of them since the early 90's when the 25th anniversary game came out for the early pc. This game although good with potential needs many updates. The graphics and story are solid. They base many of the missions on a combination of the old ST and new JJ Abrams movies. But the game fails for co-op. At least on the PS3. It won't let you join the second player without a warning. Not enough members to continue. But it does let the second person join. However the character is unable to use anything but the tricorder. This prevents the player from assisting in things like opening doors. Which is a must. So you don't get even 5 min into the game with co-op. The single player fails about 4 missions in when spok won't beam you across a bridge that is out. The current fix..start the mission over. Uhhhh no thanks. I paid 60$ for this?!! Last ST game i ever buy!!

The game is great. It takes from just enough of all the games we all love. Examples: Uncharted-Climbing, Jumping, Shooting in the same manner. Batman: Tricorder-Brings up "batvision" if you've played it same exact thing...just Star Trekish. Voice: Nailed it, Kirk funny comments, Spock bland logical comments. But it all fits. Kirk is serious when needed Spock is Spock when needed. Storyline: Good. People complained when it was Gorn, but it fit in perfect with last movie. Shooter type games #3rd person# nails it, upgrades to weapons and gear when need but it fits into game. Aiming, shooting, and upgrades what is called for in a Star Trek game. Puzzle: Just enough to be cool but not a huge puzzle type game, but enough to make you think a little bit. It's a balance between thinking and moving story forward. Movement is fluid, couple minor glitches but nothing to complain about. Graphics are on par for a PS3 game no complaints there. If you are a Trek fan its a buy, but if your interested I would still say go for it. It's fun, but watch the movie to understand story line and understand the concept of the franchise at a min. This game builds off of it. Overall its good, I've bought many games but this is the first time I've ever written a review on any of them. I would say don't take my word for it just try it. I'm not some hard core Trek fan but enough to like the franchise. I got this game because I liked the last movie and it builds off it, if your looking forward to the next movie coming in May I'd say pop for 60 bucks I think you will not be disappointed.

I think Star Trek is a much better game than it gets credit for. Sure, it has some irritating glitches (apparently not on the developer's fix list because of the game's poor reception), but they're not game-crashing bugs. A fun story for fans of the new, alternate timeline that takes place between the 2009 film and Into Darkness. Much of the hatred for this game comes from angry fanboys who hate the J.J. Abrams films.

This is a fun game if you are a fan of Star Trek and can overlook what hardcore gamers dislike about this game. The game has a lot of action set pieces but you may encounter glitches here and there. The glitches don't take away from the fun if you are a fan, like I mentioned, but if you are not forgiving, you won't like it.
