Gift for my dad, who watched when he was a kid! :)

This series resurrects the briefly-lived Original Series of Star Trek. Featuring the entire original bridge crew (minus Walter Koenig--Chekhov), it breathes life back into Gene Roddenberry's creation. The writing is top-notch for the era, bringing many of the Original Series writers back on board. Although it looks and feels very much like a cartoon, it behaves like the live-action classic. This set is a quality DVD season, offering few bells and whistles, and delivering exactly what it promises. Worth the investment for any true Trek fan.

I've only seen the Animated Series a couple of times over the years, so it's nice to finally have a copy. This is an excellent transfer that looks fantastic. with beautiful packaging Sure, there are a couple of clunkers in here, but it's a great extension of the original series

The Phantom Fourth Season of the original Star Trek series. The sheer joy of Shatner, Doohan, Nichols, Kelly, Nimoy, et al. voicing their characters in half-hour installments of SciFi joy is well worth the cost.

Great price. Didn't want to get Paramount + to watch this series so I paid a few dollars to get the DVD.

How great is this. All the episodes you remember with original cast voices. What could be better than that?

It's really fun to watch Star Trek in the animated version. I got lost in the "reality" of the characters, especially with authentic voices.

This is a well written series with most of the original lead voices. It helped keep Trek alive before the movies.

Excellent collection. Since no other review that I saw mentioned this, it's important to note that this is the Complete Series (Seasons One and Two), a total of 22 episodes. I was a little concerned that it might only be Season One, but it is indeed the complete series here.

I remember watching this when I was younger. The animation is decent and the stories kind of scifi'ish and corny, but it was the original Star Trek in a more "simple" time of science fiction on TV. I recommend it for anyone that is a Star Trek fan and wanting to complete their collection. It's fun to watch!!

The anamated virson of Star Trek looks really cool. William Shatner performs well as always. The story is very interesting and the characters are diverse.

This was a series I loved as a kid when it aired but it has not held up well over time. The fun in the series is looking at the continuity errors between wide shots and closer shots. At times you see Uhura at Communications in a wide shot but in the close up it is the Cat Lady character. Also after watching a few episodes you realize that Filmation recycled the same music over and over. Just remember that this was aimed at a younger demographic and at times it really throws logic out the door. Also be prepared with lots of sequences that show the characters walking in the distance in shadow form. This is good for mindless silly fun.
