The CGI enhancements made for this whole Blu-Ray set are incredible next to the original special effects.

The silhouette on the cover is really cool looking and a definite plus, but the case is very poor quality and have had issues with broken teeth that hold the disks in place

When a near perfect show is being run by people who truly care about it in every way and the actors on the show truly love the characters they play, you get Star Trek: TNG. This is another amazing season of an amazing TV show. They only real problem with TNG is that it did not continue for a few more years and get better movies. These are all Paramount's faulty and not that of the creative people behind the show or its actors. Bean counters hurt this show and us, its loyal fans.

In this 2 part episode re edited into 1 90 min show. Picard and Date go on a mission to find out why Ambassador Spock went to Romulus. Only to discovery he is trying to bring the Vulcans and Romulans back together.. Which may not be as simple as he thought. Leonard Nimoy makes his only return to a star trek tv show in this 2 part episode. Since the orginal tv series.

As with the other editions, Paramount/CBS put a lot of time and effort into this series, making a ton of changes -- and 99% of them are all for the good.... Color corrections, better planets and special effects, clean sound and more... High recommend the series.

The Blu-ray transfer is fantastic it's not just a simple convert. They converted from the original negatives as well as enhanced special effects while maintaining its original look of the special effects. If you're a Star Trek fan this is well worth it.

Excellent Disc though unnecessary if you have the season sets. This just ties the 2 episodes together into a movie. BUT has some great extras not on the season set so if you like extras this is great. If not skip it.

I grew up watching reruns of this series, and was so happy when it came out on blu-ray.
