The new features and added campaign were great additions to make this way better than the first game.

This will appeal to people who are into the Star Wars Universe and like games with a lot of action.

Very underrated game in my opinion and the whole loot crate debacle seriously hurt the reception. I play for the story so I was really looking forward to it and loved it. Played online 2-3 times max but that's just me. Considering the story is now "canon" it makes it even more fun. Hopefully a developer will have a story based FPS and wants to make a ton of money because this game is worth the story alone.

Don’t let the online hype fool you. The “loot box” mechanic, while certainly gambling, is NOT needed to progress in the game. It is needed if you want to progress artificially fast, but if you just okay and have patience, you don’t need the loot boxes. I have opened only the daily boxes you get free, and already have all the characters unlocked and more ability cards than I need. Thoroughly enjoyable despite the loot boxes.

I love best buy, nothing against them, for starters. But this game put out by EA is terrible. I love the Battlefield games, so it's not like I have anything against the company either, the multiplayer game play is downright bad. Everyone saves up Battlepoints and at the end of every fight there are TONS of Jedi and Sith lords running around. I just want to play and not get slice n diced by a bunch of lightsaber wielding players which are near impossible to kill. Take some damage and run away. Ya kill one, the dude with the battlepoints to summon brings the hero RIGHT back.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my boys (6 and 8), they have really enjoyed it; although the reviews were concerning regarding the in-game purchases needed to make it playable, they seem to be fine with it as is. But given my irritation with the whole sneaky in game purchase scam I'm not giving 5 stars.
