Customers are saying

Customers find value in the stunning graphics, engaging campaign mode, and immersive Star Wars experience that Battlefront II offers. They appreciate the improvements made since the previous installment and enjoy the action-packed multiplayer mode. However, some express concerns about the presence of loot boxes, microtransactions, and a pay-to-win upgrade system, which they feel detract from the overall gaming experience.

    Great Game

Battlefront II definitely has a lot more content than Battlefront 2015. Campaign has a great story, kinda wished it was a little longer. Arcade is a nice replacement for mission and you can also customize settings to whatever your heart desires, which is a huge plus. My only gripe with arcade is, if you want to play with a friend, you can’t play online, you’re stuck with split screen. Multiplayer is much better, especially the new galactic assault mode. It doesn’t take very long to unlock the characters actually, you only need to put in roughly 5 hours or so of multi time to get Luke or Vader, whom are the most expensive. I’m disappointed that this game is already tarnished by both EA and the fans on loot boxes. To be honest, I didn’t really see any unfair advantages on using upgraded star cards before the transaction was turned off. Since Tuesday, when I got my 3 day early access, I’ve been playing without any star cards as an experiment. I usually came out in the top 5 (I’ve had a few bad matches, who doesn’t?). I’m hopeful that this issue will be resolved, sooner than later, because this game could be one of the best Star Wars game.

I'm not really a fan of this game. There first one was terrible. This one may be better because of the c story mode.

It seems the focus is on Online Playing. If you want to play solo / campaign, its not ideal

Since I bought the game I am unable to play it. Everytime I turn it on it stars that my EA account is invalid. I have looked up troubleshooting on the issue and done many things including wiping my PS4 system and starting over from scratch, to no avail.

You already know the controversy surrounding this game, So I won't get into the micro transaction debate here. Is it fun? Yes. Does it look good? Yes. Does it control good? Yes. Can you upgrade without spending real money? Yes. Is it worth the price of admission? Yes. Is it the greatest game ever? No. Should I decide for myself and make the purchase and make up my own mind? Insert answer here.

To all people who say that this game is bad, it really isn’t. Yes you may be able to buy loot boxes but they are easy to earn if you actually play the game. And Luke and Vader take no time to get; I’ve been playing since Tuesday and I already have both. About 3-5 hours for both. I give this game a 9.8/10 (Minor Glitches)

loot boxes, gambling and pay to win

This game had a lot of potential. It looks great and at times feels ok but EA, DICE, and Disney all approved the loot boxes that are in this game. the most iconic characters, Luke and Vader, are locked behind a in-game currency that you can buy or spend 50 in game hours to earn. It shuts off parts earning during offline modes after a short playtime to make you either go online or buy boxes. The Gambling for a chance to get a bonus to win what should be balanced battles. this game is pay to win They do not want to change their money grabbing. take your money else where.

EA is going for nostalgia here tricking you into buying a star wars game that used to be good. This is just a cheap attempt at offering little more than a mobile experience. This is absolutely a pay to win shooter with very little campaign and the only positive being that graphically it looks pretty good. Save your money initially purchasing this product or be prepared to spend $800 to experience everything the game has to offer. Just another terrible EA product.

Game ruined by pay to win loot boxes

Decent game completely ruined by loot boxes. All of the cool content is locked behind loot boxes, you either pay to get a chance to get the content you want to play, or you have to play a ridiculous amount of time just for a chance to unlock something. Plus people that pay get special power ups and extra resources that players that dont pay wont get.

After a massive outcry online and a PR nightmare, EA has responded and made "changes" by lowering the cost of the heroes. They proudly announced "they listened and made changes" but at the same time, not in the announcement they significantly cut the rewards provided making it a wash and an illusion of repairing the cash grab attempt. In the end, this game should be BLACKLISTED! Do not PURCHASE EA GAMES PERIOD.

Stunning visuals... That's about it. The controls still feel choppy and stiff like the first, but my biggest gripe is waiting forever for a game to load. Even re-playing the arcade games (same level) has a couple minute wait. Ridiculous! If I want to wait for a game to load I'll go play Diablo 2 on one of my old laptops

The game is fun but EA's P2W progression system, locking heros behind credit walls and the very fact it takes either over 4000 hours or 2100 dollars to unlock everything in a Star Wars game, then all I can say is no. Do not buy this game.

Well let see so excited to get this thinking be better, and EA fixed problems from Battlefield 1. Nope. Instead they let you pay with your credit card to win at a shooter like they do for all the sports games. Buy packs in sports games and dominate your opponent. For Battlefield its crates and boost cards. Playing against people paying to win they one shot you with any gun fully juiced right off opening day. Sorry done with EA and their fix was less cost for unlocking heroes by 75% but they forgot to tell you they matched 75% less rewards for playing so end result they did nothing. Also world record for most down votes on post on reddit ever. Good job EA !
