So far enjoying the game, never been a huge gamer but have always loved the franchise. Definitely recommend!

I am so impressed by this port. Besides the whole key card situation the game itself is amazing. Looks great and plays pretty good except some frame drops in areas where there is a lot of vehicle combat.

Star Wars Outlaws on Nintendo Switch 2 is an impressive technical achievement and a solid open-world Star Wars experience, especially for players who want big console-style games in a portable format. While it doesn’t hit the same visual highs as PS5 or Xbox Series X, it still delivers an enjoyable, immersive adventure that feels surprisingly at home on Nintendo hardware.
You play as Kay Vess, a scrappy outlaw trying to make a name for herself in the galaxy’s criminal underworld. The story leans more into smugglers, syndicates, and shady deals rather than Jedi and Sith, which is refreshing. It feels grounded in the gritty side of Star Wars and gives the universe a different flavor that longtime fans will appreciate.
Gameplay focuses on exploration, stealth, shooting, and space travel. Missions usually give you multiple ways to approach objectives, whether that’s sneaking through enemy bases, talking your way into restricted areas, or going in blasters blazing. While the structure can feel familiar if you’ve played other open-world games, it’s still fun and easy to get sucked into for hours.
Performance on Switch 2 is better than many expected. The game targets 30 frames per second and mostly holds steady, both docked and handheld. There are occasional dips in busy areas and some texture pop-in, but nothing game-breaking. Visually, it’s clearly scaled back compared to stronger consoles, with softer textures and reduced detail, yet the lighting and environments still capture the Star Wars atmosphere well.
One of the biggest strengths is portability. Being able to explore planets, run contracts, and fly through space on a handheld device is genuinely cool and adds a lot of value to the experience. Load times are reasonable, controls feel responsive, and motion control options add a nice bonus for players who like them.
That said, the game isn’t perfect. Some AI behavior can be inconsistent, stealth mechanics aren’t always polished, and the Ubisoft-style open-world formula may feel repetitive to some players. Also, players looking for ultra-smooth performance or cutting-edge graphics may be disappointed compared to other platforms.
Final Verdict
Star Wars Outlaws on Switch 2 is a strong port and one of the most ambitious third-party games on the system. It offers a fun story, solid gameplay, and the freedom to explore the Star Wars galaxy wherever you go. While it has technical limitations and familiar open-world design flaws, it’s still a great option for Star Wars fans and handheld gamers.
Score: 8/10
A fun, ambitious Star Wars adventure that shines most in portable play.

Star Wars Outlaws is a great and fun game. It looks and runs great on the Switch 2. I have only played it in handheld mode and I don’t have any complaints. For the gaming experience, I kind of feel like I’m playing a Star Wars version of Assassins Creed which makes sense coming from Ubisoft. You get to sneak around, climb/jump off of things, sneak up on enemies and knock them out, and use your blaster to shoot enemies. It’s kind of similar to Assassins Creed but also very different. I would definitely recommend buying this game if you are into this style of gaming. When I first started playing this game, I wasn’t sure if I would like it but then as I kept progressing, I found myself wanting to play more. I wasn’t disappointed by no means with the purchase of Star Wars Outlaws.

At first after hearing some of the early rumors of the game I thought it was going to be terrible. I had a best buy $10 gift card I got from Madden 26 preorder so I thought I'll take the risk. This game is right up there with cyberpunk 2077. The storm troopers and the scenery look amazing definitely a must buy lot's of fun.

Never played this when it released on other platforms. I thought being able to play portably, and the game being updated and optimized made this a good time to try this out. Glad I did I think I'm still shocked how well it looks and runs on switch 2. This may be the best game graphics wise yet to showcase what the switch 2 is capable of.

I absolutely love this game. Probably the best Star Wars games I’ve played since Disney purchased Lucasfilm. The open world aspect is great. Controls are intuitive. Just understand this game doesn’t follow a typical linear story path. Highly recommended.

Outlaws is really a good SW game that just hasn't gotten the love is deserves. It's a fun ride, good on a lot of levels, but not particularly 'great' in any which is probably why its been overlooked. The Switch 2 port is excellent. Its great to see devs getting so much out of the hardware already and if you want something to show off a strong AAA 3rd party port then this is a good choice.

Who shot first? If Kay Vess was there, you best believe she would have. Live the life of a star scoundrel and play crime cartels against one another. Outlaws is a wild ride from start to finish and is a refreshing take on the world of Star Wars.

I wasn't sure about the game but I'm happy I bought it. I like how the story takes place in-between ANH and ESB. Gameplay reminds me of a mix between Assassin's Creed and Rockstar games. You can go at your own pace.

Holy cow, I enjoy this game. I love it on the switch 2. I am a huge fan of the Switch 2, so I appreciate games coming to the switch 2. That said, ubisoft has some work to do still. There are game breaking and progression breaking bugs still in the game. That said, it is super fun and I love being able to use the motion controls on the switch.

A really good port for Switch 2. The game runs really smooth and plays well. I enjoyed my time with it. Took about 23 hours to beat. This game got a lot of hate when it first came out. It doesn't deserve it. Its a fun open world adventure

It runs so much better then i could have imagined on the switch 2. This game has deep lore and awesome exploration. Ignore the hate on this one and do yourself a favor and pick this up ! There is a wide variety of missions and even space combat. Worth the price for sure

This game has you submerse in the world of Star Wars! It is easy to learn it is not your typical good guy video game. The campaign allows the player to decide which way they want to take the story campaign!

Runs really well on the hardware. I'm very impressed by it. It's also a pretty dang fun game and (so far) way more interesting than any Star Wars media that centers on Sith & Jedi. I dig it.
