This season felt like a slow-burn most of the time. Some episodes weren't all that interesting. The animation and art style are different, but you get used to it. I don't really understand what all the hate is about in terms of this besides how some aliens look in this style. This season works because of its' characters rather than it's plot. I really enjoyed the latter half of this season once it took itself more seriously. However, Ezra is just horrible. I can not stand him anytime he's on-screen, and that's honestly saying a lot because Chopper is not that far behind. If it weren't for the latter half of the season and especially the great buildup towards the second season, I would say this show can be skipped.

I love this show and suggest any Star Wars fan gives it a try. I personally liked it better than Clone Wars because the story is more clean and the character development is amazing. A little disappointed that it came in no cardboard protector like it shows in the picture.

At first I had some skepticism about the characters, but by the end of season 1 I was completely hooked. There is just the right amount of depth of story, humor, and seriousness. I can't believe I am saying this, but I eventually ended up really liking the droid, Chopper, even though he is a rude little snit with a crooked sense of humor. He has quite the heart of gold and cares about his friends. As for the others, well I will not spoil the fun of learning about them on your own.

The world of George Lucas continues to grow! That galaxy so far, far away is more popular than ever and the animated series "Star Wars Rebels" continues to extrapolate the story leading up to the classic films. Full of the adventure we'd come to expect from Star Wars, the Blu-ray disc is also loaded with character profiles and a unique look at the making of "Star Wars Rebels" in the context of the rest of the mythology. The force is strong with these rebels.

While it definitely has dark themes, this series draws from some of the fun adventurous aspects of the original trilogy. As with it's predecessor "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", "Star Wars: Rebels" gives us some of the highest production quality animation anywhere on television. As with any first season, this one has its slow spots, but they do spend some time establishing characters, which is always a good thing if you want a series to have longevity.

Didnt really know alot about this series but I am a nerd for StarWars. Im really glad in did. This continues the story between the clone wars and ep 4 after executive order 66. The animation is awesome. The voice actors/tresses do a great job. The story had me every bit involved as the movies. If youre a Star Wars nerd, get it. If you like animation and action with a story thats fun, get it.

Rebels, a new show from most of the same creative team behind fan-favorite The Clone Wars, introduces us to a new group of protagonists [while still managing to make connections to the previous series. The animation style is cleaner and sleeker than TCW, closer to the Pixar aesthetic than ever. Add to that the great writing and excellent voice acting and we have a winner. Highly recommended for ALL Star Wars fans!

With all the controversy over recent Star Wars movies, it's good to see Disney knocking this one out of the park with Star Wars: Rebels. Great story, characters that you come to care for, and enough humor sprinkled in to make it reminiscent of old Star Wars. The image quality is fantastic. Colors pop off the screen and the sound immerses you. A must buy for all Star Wars fans!

I'm 22 and who cares if this is a kids show? If your a Star Wars fan this is a must have! It's great fun to watch (and it's also canon). I'm just glad it's finally on Blu Ray, I hardly watch tv and I sure won't watch Disney XD. It takes place 5 years before Star Wars, (I'm not calling it A New Hope). The story is cool I must say, the VA's are good too. The one thing I can't say I'm a fan of is the art style. Something about it just doesn't sit right with me. I watched the trailer for season 2 and the hype is real. Picture quality is impeccable. Sound is up there too. Great for kids and adults. Must watch! (Remember this is canon, it's part of the actual story.) 4/5 because of the art.

This is where it begins. The fantastic series, Star Wars Rebels. The characters are interesting from the good guys to their adversaries. This first season sets the stage for what is to come. It does it well and you are sure to enjoy this series if you are at all a fan of Star Wars or just great action adventure stories.

I wasn't really into the Clone Wars series that aired a few years ago, but I gave Star Wars Rebels a shot and I was pleasantly surprised. The characters are more interesting and the storyline gives a great peek into events that took place between Episodes III and IV in the Star Wars universe. My daughter and I just finished watching Season 2 and it was even better. Highly recommended.

I love, love, love Star Wars Rebels Season One. Can't wait to get the second season on Blu-Ray. Along with the Clone Wars TV Series, the new Disney series fills in a lot of blanks between the original trilogy movies and the prequels. Yeah, the TV series are just animated and not live-action, but if your a fan of the franchise, they're definitely worth watching.

At first I was cautious about this new series because they stopped the clone wars series which I have enjoyed. It started off slow (what series doesn't) however after the 4th episode I enjoyed where the story was taking you. Mixing the end of the clone wars to rebels is a nice touch to the series to keep a clone war fan interested.

This DVD set is an excellent addition for anyStar Wars fan's collection! Great extras! Excellent quality transfer! We met a new crew of freedom-fighters who are doing their part to take down the Galactic Empire. This season's stories were great. An excellent follow-up to the long-running Clone Wars series. Highly recommended.

I was afraid "Rebels" would not be as good as "Clone Wars" but was proven wrong. The same creative team has managed to bridge the gaps between Episodes 3 & 4 with interesting characters and a story arc populated with many familiar friends we only got to meet in later episodes. "Rebels" is a worthy addition to the canon.

I've been waiting for this tv series to come to Blu Ray since I first heard of the show. The first season starts off a little show, when compared to the last few seasons of Clone Wars. But then, the Clone Wars got progressively better the longer it aired. I have high hopes for this series and I am sure it will do well.

I was expecting Rebels to be more kid-oriented and tame, and while it's certainly acceptable for kids, it doesn't feel dumbed-down or pandering. It took a little while to warm up to the animation style, but once I did, I grew to really love the show, and it just keeps getting better and better.

I wasn't pleased that Disney scrapped the Clone Wars, especially with Asoka leaving the Jedi temple but This new series kinda ties into the original Clone wars. So that made me happy. The animation isn't as good and the battles are kid safe ( no deaths that I can recall). But all in all I enjoyed it

Awesome story telling filling in the gaps between the two trilogies. Incredible action mixing both the new and old elements from the Star Wars galaxy. High Definition Blu Ray is the only way to enjoy this saga. The difference can definitely be seen. Looking forward to future editions already.

I was a fan of the Clone Wars and this series is definitely in the same league as that show as it has the same show runner. It sticks more close to a single band of characters very reminiscent of Firefly with light sabers. Very entertaining for all Star Wars fans regardless of age.
