The Force Awakens.... And Put Me To Sleep
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I missed seeing The Force Awakens when it was in the theaters, so I was very impatient for the DVD to be released so I could finally see what all the hyp was about. Anemic plot, main characters I couldn't care less about, scenes which were quite obviously simply rewrites of scenes from previous movies.... and the much-ballyhooed appearances of Han Solo, Leia and Luke? Well, I understand why Luke didn't show up until the end, but the interaction between Solo and Leia was anything but natural, and really when it comes right down to it, Leia didn't need to be a part of the story at all. I haven't watched the extras yet because really, I can't bring myself to care. As I said to a friend when I called after the movie was over... at least my dogs and I enjoyed the popcorn.
