I've been a Star Wars fan since "A New Hope" came out in 1977. I've always wondered what it would be like to see the Millenium Falcon jump to hyperspace in 3D. Well, wonder no more because this collection gives you that and so much more! Highly, highly recommend!

The artwork on this steel fits perfectly with the rest of the SW steels. Picture quality: flawless, looks every bit as good as when I saw Ep VII in IMAX on release day. The audio track is even better, with a solid DTS-HD MA 7.1 presentation that accents every little sound going on in the scene. The special features are abundant & are the stuff that nerds of SW (like myself) love. Lots of behind the scenes footage, and more. Spectacular presentation, overall: packaging, video/audio presentation, and special features. A no-brainer for any SW fan, as well as a no-brainer for any steel collector. As good as they come.

Welcome fellow Star Wars fans! This product is an absolute treasure in my movie collection and is a MUST HAVE for any fan! This item looks absolutely stunning shelved next to my other steel-book cases from the other films in the Star Wars saga! So the backstory: I was watching one of my YouTube subscriptions and during the video he mentioned how Best Buy was going to be the exclusive release for the steel-book version of the movie on the Tuesday it was to be released. I then recalled how disappointed I was when I was unable to acquire Thor: The Dark World a few years previous at my local store. So I opened another tab and went to BestBuy.com and was so pleased to see I could do site-to-store and have my item waiting for me! I had to work until the late afternoon that Tuesday and immediately made my commute to the store. I arrived and had my email that the company had sent to my primary inbox to validate my pick-up with the associate working that part of customer service counter. I was verified, item in hand, paid, and out of my local store IN LESS THAN TEN MINUTES (try that at a Walmart)! I was ecstatic that I was able to efficiently and conviently acquire this item with zero difficulties. The entire process from start to finish is simple, straight forward, and easily executed. Plus, the store inventory had SOLD OUT of the steel-book and here I was able to walk right in after working a full 8-hour shift and just have it waiting on me on my own time and terms! Movie is great. steel case is better. its a movie limited by its source material and depends on its legacy, but falters event there

Is it my memory, or is the Blu-Ray missing the chess scene on the Falcon where Han Solo tells Finn that Chewie is a very bad loser, whereby Finn loses the game and Chewie is happy. Or maybe the scene on the bridge where Han confronts his son ... wasn't there a mention of Leia missing him or wanting him to come home on the big screen? Not the first dvd that has had this problem for me. I miss some details on the big screen, so rewatch the dvd later, and sometimes I figure it is my memory - but this time I don't think do. It isn't nice to fool with older people's memories, lol. Aren't dvds made post movie production? Any answers? Next I will check the extras dvd, but if it is in the movie, it shouldn't be an extra. And yes, it is a great movie, a must see for any Star Wars fan!

No spoilers, for those of you who haven't seen it yet. Every wonderful thing you will hear or read about this movie is true. It appeals to nostalgia while embracing newness. Spectacular cast. Even more stunning direction by JJ Abrams. He did right by the franchise and made it everything true fans wanted it to be. I have already seen it in theaters twice and fully intend to see it several more times, in addition to purchasing my pre-order. I don't care when it'll release, this will be a must-have. It won't be the same as seeing it in theaters with the joy of fellow fans, but that won't make it a less beautiful film. May the Force be with you!

Some people absolutely loved Force Awakens, felt it was a return to Star Wars and the most fun they had all year long for 2015. Others felt the reason people felt that way was because it was TOO familiar to what made them love Star Wars in the first place, because it was TOO close in story beats, shots, and overall plot points as A New Hope. Whatever the case, Star Wars is back and for that alone we should be glad. This release features EXCELLENT picture quality and while the audio doesn't feature Atmos or another multidimensional mix (as theaters did), the 7.1 mix suffices quite well or what the inherent mix is. This wasn't done quite as well as say, the audio mixes on Episode I and III, but that is what it is. The bonus materials are nice but come off a little "corporate-y" at times, and we know another release with OTHER bonus materials is on it's way. The steelbook is really rad, especially on the inside (though I could've done with some else other than Phasma on the back) and goes great if you picked up the steelbooks of 1-6.
