It's Star Wars, plain and simple. It is very similar to the original film but it tells it in a different light with different characters in a fun and new way. Do not go in expecting a perfect and original movie or yea, you'll be disappointed. Go in expecting a fun movie that fits into the Star Wars saga and you'll be pleasantly pleased.

In a nutshell, if you are a Star Wars fan, you will probably enjoy this movie... then again, if you are a Star Wars fan, you have already seen this movie, prior to being released on Blu-Ray. Speaking of this particular Blu-Ray package, it comes with the Movie on Blu-Ray (of course), along with a DVD copy, a digital copy and an extras disc. By in large, I am very happy with the extras disc. It has a few extra hours of content that I really appreciate watching. I think it really added a lot, to already excellent product. The Movie itself, has excellent detail and sound. I watch on a 4k TV and can attest to the excellent cinematography and quality of shots. The sound is excellent as well, although I must admit, the music soundtrack seems to take a back seat to the rest of the audio effects and dialogue, but that may have been intended. Otherwise, all of the film and sound effects are top notch! The bottom line... if you haven't seen this movie yet, see it!

While I agree with some of the criticisms regarding the story-line, which was reminiscent of previous films, this did not detract in any way from the movie--instead setting up this newest trilogy for anything the writers want to do. The sky is the limit. I think what really made this film great was the blend of new characters--such as BB8, who you became attached to very quickly--as well as the graphics. J.J. Abrams was genius, using models and non-CG props to add a realistic element to the Star Wars universe, while appropriately incorporating CGI to accent the movie instead of dominate it. I am a huge fan of Steelbooks, and this one was no exception. unlike previously released Star Wars Steelbooks, this one came with the digital copy, DVD, and bluray, so you can watch it wherever you are. The cover design was stunning and fit perfectly in my collection of Star Wars Steelbooks, fitting the same design scheme. Absolutely worth a buy and a few dozen watches.

Just got my steelbook in today, about 4 days early and I couldn't be happier. Perfect condition, it might not be the same design as the others but believe me it does not Dissapoint with kylo and phasma. The bonus features are incredible and the table read is awesome. If you haven't ordered one by now you probaly missed out getting a peice of history

It's a Star Wars film, with JJ's flair. Worth 4K? I'm an early adopter. Went Vizio M Series, I'm not looking to getting in a trolling war - so before someone says who says, "OLED is the ONLY way to go" - ODDLY I've had an eye doctor tell me my vision is oddly better than nearly the entire human population. So maybe I'm lucky and see a lot of quality in a lot of great features, but no HDR, was just out of my price range. That's the only downfall I see with the set in the long run. Lots of great connectivity, a 4K @ 60fps port, HDMI 2.0 and 1.4s, 5 total, a reliable AC wireless protocol, a growing selection of 4K content. I mean SERIOUSLY there is plenty of content, it just may not appeal to you. But I've found plenty of very high quality 4K stuff on YouTube. VUDU is particularly high quality, where I expect MOST the competition of 4K blu Ray sales to be made. Especially for the ADHD generation of native YouTube, HULU, VUDU, Netfilxers out there. Everyone talks about Ultraflix, but they only use stereo sound, just 2.0! If you have the TV you probably have the surround sound at 5.1 minimum, but you have audiophiles with Atmos capability too! I'm excited about 4K in general, and will probably shell out the $400 for a player. It will definitely have to count as a birthday present or something. But you know what?? I have a job and responsibilities, and a life, and I don't complain about lack of content. I don't have THAT much free time. I don't need to have 8000 choices of what to watch, and I've looked into it all. I haven't even had too much chance to play a video game on here yet. So there is SO MUCH content out there, I JUST HAVE TOO LITTLE TIME. #FirstWorldProblems

I've literally been waiting months for this release and now it's only 2 weeks away. I am a connoisseur of good 3D movies and knowing lucas films this will be one to definitely add to the collection. They will make sure the 3D quality is beyond good, it will be spectacular. You know when they take months to release an additional format, they want to make sure they takeout all the flaws. If you enjoy 3D as much as I do, trust me its going to be a must have. The new cast and familar characters of this film is also a great addition to the franchise. My only wish now, is that they go back and remaster all in 3D.

solid start to final trilogy. missed getting the steelbook, but still a good movie. anxious to see how the rest of this trilogy plays out.

I LOVE this movie, saw it twice in the movies and have watched it twice at home so far. Yes there are some similarities to the first 3 real Star Wars, but this is by far the best of the new generation Star Wars movies. The effects are incredible, the sound is amazing. It is an event to watch!!! This will renew your love for Star Wars, it really is that good. There are so many moments that just wow you, some might say it rests a bit too much on nostalgia, but that is truly where it hits your heart the hardest. This is a great movie and one of the best movies from the last 10 years. I cannot wait for the next installment!

Widely praised by new and classic fans alike, Star Wars: The Force Awakens lets you know that the Star Wars universe has returned to this galaxy in a big way. Is it everything fans hoped it would be? Not necessarily. But it was fun and enjoyable. The Force Awakens had a good mixture of action, high-stakes peril, good character development, and no small amount of humor. The amount of clever, funny lines in this Star Wars movie rivals or exceeds any installment in the franchise to date. Is it entirely original? No. The story line is very familiar, as will become apparent quite quickly. Did the filmmakers take lots of risks with the storytelling? No. But that familiarity lets you know that this is, in fact, Star Wars. It hearkens back to the original trilogy of Star Wars movies, including many familiar characters, while adding several new ones. By the end of the movie, you just might be counting down the days until Episode VIII, the film that will further these story lines, releases in theaters. All things considered, I would give it a more accurate score of 8/10. Thank you for your time, and may the force be with you!

I pre ordered the Best Buy special edition of the Force Awakens. This products has a very beautiful steel book cover featuring Phasma and Kylo Ren! Inside a three disk set. Regular DVD of the Force Awakens, Force awakens on Blue Ray DVD, special features/Behind the scenes DVD and a digital download code so you can watch it anywhere!!! How cool is this!!! I would SO recommend this to a friend!!! -Zachary

I really enjoyed the movie with all of the new characters. The steelbook is nice but probably a little overpriced. Technically speaking, the video quality of the Blu Ray is outstanding and maybe one of the best in my collection. The audio mix is very good but could have been better in my opinion. To be picky, I think that most of the weapon sound effects could have been louder in the overall mix. I am very happy with my purchase but cannot wait for the 3D version.

It has taken me a few viewings to warm up to this film, but I can confidently say that this is a solid entry into the Star Wars canon. I thoroughly enjoyed returning to this universe. I am one of the rare Star Wars fans who actually liked the prequel trilogy, and there are some aspects of this new movie that are actually less stellar than Episodes I-III (bland set design, rehash from the original trilogy). However, at the end of the day I am just so thrilled this film turned out to be as good as it did. I am anxiously waiting Episode VIII!

A new generation in the Star Wars universe is handed the torch by some of the series vets.This latest entry in the Star Wars saga introduces a variety of new characters who will take the fan favorite space saga into the next chapter.The force awakens mixes elements of a new hope within it's story and creates a fantastic result worthy of the franchise.Hopefully we will continue to see this series being released at Best Buy in a steelbook format because this release is excellent and compliments the previously released Star Wars steelbooks.

First off, I won't be reviewing the movie as such...there's plenty of better reviews out there. Let's just say that I like Star Wars, and this movie is great, even if you're not necessarily a "Star Wars fan." I like the Steelbook packaging that Best Buy has for this, even though it's rare that A) I even buy DVDs nowadays and B) that I'd shell out extra for a special edition. But a new Star Wars movie is worth a bit extra for a special edition, and I wanted both a BluRay and a DVD, so this had everything I needed for a decent price.

This movie is awesome ive already seen it 4 times in the imax 3D star wars is definitely back with this film everything about it is great from the story line to the characters to the special effects everything is just great I don't have 1 complaint about this movie when this comes out on blu ray I'm for sure getting it the first day if you haven't seen it yet you honestly don't relize what your missing so GO SEE IT IN YOUR LOCAL THEATER IN IMAX 3D WHILE YOIU STILL CAN AND MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.

You already know everything there is to know about these movies so I'll just say I love the steelbook cases. Not only for the quality feel, but I like the design of having one significant character on the front of each movie, rather than a collage of everyone included in the movie.

I am not going to review star wars because I'm not a movie reviewer but everybody knows it excellent. I am however going to review the steelbook packaging and say that if you collect movies which I do steelbook packaging is the best way to do it because over time the traditional packaging i.e plastic clamshell with cardboard sleeve they just start to fall apart but the tin that the steelbook are made up of holds up very well and best buy is the only store that does this enjoy the movie.

The packaging looks great and included photos are high quality prints. This is an easy way to have your digital copy of the re-launch of a true sci-fi classic movie series reserved for when they are available for release. This is a lot easier than standing in line to get it on disk in a few months . Set back and get ready to watch this blockbuster at home on your own pc, tablet, or TV.

Star Wars is back! The seventh movie of the Star Wars saga takes place 30 years after Return of the Jedi. New characters are introduced. Old characters like Han Solo and Chewbacca return. The First Order has replaced the Empire in being the threat in the universe. Finding the location of an old friend is key in helping the Resistance. The bonus Blu-Ray disc contains special features, including a documentary in the making of The Force Awakens. That is worth watching.

This movie may be a bit controversial among fans (I personally thought it was too derivative), but this steelbook presentation is a winner! Beautiful artwork on the case, and every disc has artwork as well, which is nice considering the growing trend of plain title graphics on some discs (especially DVDs in a combo pack).
