Yes it's similar to a New Hope, but I didn't care, it reawakened my love for everything Star Wars and erased the bitter taste I had after the prequels. Getting the Blu-ray for better picture and sound quality and I can't wait to watch it on release date

Nothing bad to say, from the pre-order it looks like it will be a steel-book which will fit in nicely with anyone's collection. I would pre-order since it may be hard to get on the release date.

With new amazing characters like Rey, Kylo Ren, Finn and Poe, plus the addition of Han Solo, Leia and Luke along for the ride, The Force Awakens successfully awakens the Star Wars franchise back from the dead.

I purchased the 3 disc set + digital copy because of how many people in the house enjoy the movie and we have both blu ray and dvd players depending on the room and with the digital copy the kids can watch it on their tablets. I saw the movie in the theater in 3D and thought it seemed dark, now watching it on the home big screen I realize there was quite a bit I missed......Can't wait for the next movie in the series.

Highly entertaining. Follows the standard format of the Star Wars series of movies. Bluray bonus disc contains many extra features - Deleted Scenes, Cast & Crew, etc. Bluray version is 136 minutes long. Movie quality is excellent (except for the very end scene where I saw some jutter, but rewinding for ten seconds and playing back again, the jutter was gone Could have been just my old HDTV). Rated PG-13.

I found Star Wars: The Force Awakens to be entertaining and enjoyable! This was the Star War sequel I had been waiting 30 plus years to see! I will admit I didn't like it as much as some people but I had a good time, I enjoyed seeing the classic characters and the new characters that were introduced were fun!

This was such a great return to the galaxy far, far away, and left the bad taste from the prequel trilogy in a galaxy even farther away. Yes, it seems that they went to the same well again, with the big space station that can destroy planets, but the movie brought back all the fun and action, with good writing and acting that was missing from Episodes 1-3. Definitely worth it for any Star Wars fan.

I'll keep the comments to a minimum regarding the film itself. Suffice to say, its wonderful. I love the Star Wars universe even more now. The extras on the Blu-ray itself are stupendous. Love the "making of" portion, and the deleted scenes are worth it in and of themselves. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to take a deeper look into the world of The Force Awakens.

I think that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" was one of the greatest "Star Wars" films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite films of all-time. I also think that this film had creative, original, amazing and exciting personal/political storylines with a lot of entertaining and enjoyable action, mystery and suspense including a really great and amazing cast as well.

awesome film though marks scene was disappointingly short and they cut dialog heard in trailer. Interesting plotline, will be cool to see how it progresses in 8 and 9. I hope the deleted monolog will be a special feature. Now that abrams has done both trek & wars maybe we can finally get a crossover film. PS we now have a female Jedi leading the way, moveover Hungry Lames franchise LOL

This movie, is amazing. It took whatever part of the Prequel trilogy us Star Wars fans despised, and removed it. And pushed on the more honored qualities of the original trilogy to make a movie that Original trilogy fans will enjoy for the good music, good characters, practical effects and pacing. And the Prequel trilogy fans can like the humor, the action, and the characters

My grandson is now old enough to "appreciate" Star Wars, and begged me to buy him the Force Awakens DVD. I had not seen the movie myself and was somewhat skeptical about how good it would be. While we both enjoyed watching it together, I was pleasantly surprised with how good it really was; story line, acting, and cinematography. Looking forward to the next installment !

My thoughts on Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens on Blu-Ray made me feel energetic of how breathtaking this film was by paying homage to the original Star Wars (1970s) on Blu-Ray, and well-executed sigh of relief that The Force Awakens has bring to my Sony 4k HDTV - but I can't wait for more breathtaking entertainment of Star Wars: Episode VIII in December of 2017.

This was a film that would please both fans of the original films, as well as newcomers to the film series. The new cast and characters are terrific. Seeing some familiar faces again was exciting. The special effects were excellent. The picture quality and sound are amazing. There are some great special features. This is definitely one you want to add to your collection.

Nice to have it on 4K but it's not a great transfer.

Hopefully the first of many Star Wars movies to come, and seeing that it's now a Disney property, that shouldn't be an issue...lots of money to be made! The movies was fun, even though EXTREMELY repetitive of the first movie, even the main character growing up on a desert planet. The death star in this case just had a bigger gun. Sad to see Han Solo go, I've heard that Harrison Ford insisted the character be killed off if he was to do the movie...how grumpy can one man be? Sorry that this movie franchise launch your career and made you an international star and filthy rich to boot. Hopefully the next movie will have Luke actually do something,.

It's not the best Star Wars movie, it's not the worst. I'm a big Star Wars fan, watched the movies & read all the books. Now I can go on & on about why The Force Awakens is a disappointment. But I'll keep it short. There's definitely a difference from the Lucas films & the JJ Abrams films. He recycled all 6 movies into 1. Ignored the extended storyline that was written years ago in the best selling books that were read & loved by the fans. SO, with that being said. The special effects are great! The acting is great! The storyline is composed of all the storylines & lacks heart. But it's Star Wars, so we the fans are gonna buy it regardless.

Star Wars is back. It has been 32 years since a great Star Wars film. Broken down, lesser used cgi, great stories, original cast. The story arc is somewhat familiar, but it has a new twist. Rey is absolutely amazing in this. in my top 5 favorite SW characters behind Vader and Solo. This film was fast and fun from start to finish.

This was a wonderful re-boot of the series, with obvious parallels to the story and characters in the first movies. Some people may not like that, but I did, as it was an original story that simply played homage to the previous movies. A strong female lead that still comes across as sweet at the same time. I can't wait to learn more about her in the next movie.

A great continuation of the 40 year old saga. The next generation of characters is introduced, and we get some surprises. The disk is pristine; excellent video and audio quality on the blu ray. The extras in the set are fun for those who enjoy back stories. If you're a Star Wars fan it's a must have. If you've never heard of SW, watch the first 6 episodes first!
