Great in the car if you have a good system, but even if no this is a great addition to the SW soundtrack collection.

If you have listened to the soundtracks of prior episodes, you have some idea of what to expect

Minus the major themes of the series there are no true tracks that stand out. Even the prequel soundtracks had major themes and tracks that you would want to listen to over and over. For any true fan of John Williams this is a good piece of music but sir someone looking for true Star Wars music I would go with any of the other albums

Great listen for fans of Star Wars or John Williams fans alike

The music of John Williams is just the best - and this latest addition to the STAR WARS genre is awesome! I love Rey's theme - and the intertwining of old themes and new in this movie is just sublime. Williams does it again and you will find yourself lost in the music the more you listen to it. Thank-you Mr. Williams for your awesome talents!!

I remember buying the first Star Wars soundtrack years ago on vinyl. But this CD sounds absolutely stunning. I know about the dispute between analog and digital, but I will take digital any day. As to Joh Williams, the subtle nuances in this score and the incorporation of previous melodies reminds you of the whole Star Wars saga.

This is probably the weakest of the SW soundtracks, with the exception of Rey's theme...Come to think of it, I didn't notice the music much during the film.

Star Wars soundtrack from ANY episode is a must have for Sci-Fi adventure music lovers. Of course, had to get this. Yes, I'm old fashioned. I like owning a physical disc, and ripping it into iTunes rather than purchasing the digital files only.

I really like this soundtrack by the great John Williams. But, unfortunately, he seems to be showing his age lately. This guy has made dozens upon dozens of movie soundtracks for over 50 years, and he's done amazing 99% of the time. But, I think he might be running out of ideas now. Some of the pieces are really great on this album, but most of them are just okay.

Another good soundtrack from America's best movie composer, John Williams. Williams has lots of brass and snippets of some of the original Star Wars and Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi themes woven in the soundtrack.

With this purchase I have all of the Star Wars Soundtracks on CD. John Williams is one of my favorite composers. Star Wars is one of his masterpieces. If you like orchestra music and Star Wars, this is a must purchase.

Overall, the soundtrack for Star Wars The Force Awakens is a good continuation of the Star Wars saga music from the master John Williams. Although it may not have as memorable tracks as the original trilogy or even some tracks from the prequel trilogy, it is a solid soundtrack with a number of tones and music from past movies.

Soothing music from the film great flick something different to listen to

I got this for my sons Star Wars themed birthday. We played it at the front door so when the kids arrived they could hear the music as they got dressed in their Jedi costumes

John Willams returns to give us the music once again for the newist chapter in the Star Wars saga. And does not disappoint, like he ever could.

John Williams does it again. He is a genius. The music really brings the movie to life. I can picture the scenes as I listen.

...Until the blu ray comes out. A wonderful cd that John Williams once again excels in taking us to that galaxy far far away.

Has all the music from the Force Awakens score. Puts you in mind of watching the movie every time you hear the music.

One of the best things about the Star Wars franchise has always been the sound track. That tradition continues here.
