This movie is purely awesome. Star Wars fans new and old will get a kick out of this movie soundtrack.

The prequels had way better scores. I will say the solo one was better.

There is not new theme that pulls you in. This is the most boring Star Wars sound track.

It's a fun listen that makes me want to watch the movie immediately!

John Williams mixes old and new Star Wars themes to create CD that feels like "classic" Star Wars yet brand-new as well. Perfect music to hear before Blu-ray film is released.

First of all, its Star Wars, so I had to buy it. Second of all, this soundtrack is amazing, just like the movie!

To hear a modern John Williams score for the new Star Wars was an experience. No one should pass this up!

A lot of people have said they were somewhat disappointed in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens soundtrack. I understand where they're coming from, but I have to disagree. Yeah it doesn't contain any instant-classic pieces such as "Binary Sunset", "Imperial March", "Dual of the Fates", etc. Yeah I also wouldn't rank it as one of the best Star Wars soundtracks in the saga. That all being said though, this is still a REALLY good score! When compared with some of the scores from the other films it pales, but that's because those scores are about as close to perfection as you can get musically. On it's own, it really delivers! Going into the movie, I was worried that the soundtrack would contain too many throwbacks to the old pieces, but to my surprise there was a perfect balance. Most of the score is based in brand new sheet music, with just the right amount of pieces paying homage to the music of before. "Rey's Theme" in particular is one of the most memorable pieces from the film. Definitely one of the more unique compositions in the ever growing score of the Star Wars saga.

Loved this CD. When watching the movie the first time, no musical theme really stuck out. After listening to the CD and watching the movie again, had a better appreciation for the character themes.

The music from John Williams never disappoints. It takes you to a different place where you are free to wander and engage in fantasy.

Once again John Williams hits a home run with his score...this one stands out...
