I bought it on sale for 24.99 to test out my new surround sound system and new tv. There were not many DVD’s with Dolby Atmos but this one has it. No regrets with the purchase. The audio surround sound and video quality were exceptional AND it’s Star Wars!

The 8th entry in the official Star Wars canon is what I presume will come to be known as the odd man out: a change in direction and tone from J.J. Abrams to Mr. Johnson has produced an odd if somewhat enjoyable yarn with enough twists and turns to keep one's interest for a couple of hours.

Everybody hated this movie, I don't understand why... I thought it was great story telling and I just enjoy seeing Luke Skywalker on the screen! Loved the battle scene between Rey and Kylo. If you don't like this movie then you can't call yourself a Star Wars fan!!

It's been tough. I don't think Adam Driver fit Ben Solo very well, but I also have never been impressed with his acting in general. Cinematically the last 3 are great, but they have the weakest story lines. If you are a fan, you'll buy it. Otherwise no reason to.

Purchased this video and I'm shocked as to how well the music and sound effects and video have been mixed. The Atmos in this movie is the best sound I have heard in a movie yet and the picture has so much detail and depth. I highly recommend this movie.

well done, enjoyable, worth re-watching.
Note = a lot of nerds find this movie polarizing. They either love it or hate it. A few people like me are in between. Why? Because some of the things the director did in the plot really angered the old-school star wars fans. Oy!

I love the movie but, they really fell short on the 4k on this film. HDR isn't utilized to its potential and the lack of dolby atmos is a major let down. It does look better than the streaming service and blu ray. Still great movie, but could have been better.

This was another outstanding chapter of the Star Wars films! It had all the elements which made Episodes IV, V and VI such entertaining classics! Plenty of action, well developed characters, an appropriate level of snarky humor and dazzling special effects!

I used this movie to hustle my wife into upgrading the 4K TV.... the picture quality is excellent - the Movie is good to me - but I'm not a die hard fan - die hard fans that watched it with me - were not as impressed they gave it 3.5 to 4 stars

This was a super long movie. Could’ve easily cut out 20-30 minutes and made me a lot happier! I am glad that I bought it to watch at home. I was able to catch stuff that I missed out on at the theater. I do recommend this movie, just wish that it was shorter.

Upon repeat viewing, I realized how good this movie actually is. It is much better than The Force Awakens. Without spoiling, they missed the perfect opportunity to write out Leia after the actress's unexpected death shortly after wrapping her scenes during production.

I'm not as big a fan of some of the newer characters, however...the movie is entertaining and even leaves you with a sense of what's to come down the road. I won't say more, in case you haven't seen it yet...but go get it and add it to your Star Wars collection.

The visuals look great in 4k HDR. Great sounding Dolby Atmos audio track. I really like the look of the steelbook. It's hard to find a good deal on Star Wars movies now that Disney owns the rights so to find this steelbook on sale was a treat.

Loved The Last Jedi in the theater and it looks awesome at home on my LG OLED! This movie looks amazing in 4K with all of the dark scenes and all of the brilliantly colored scenes too. Fantastic reds and blacks. The light sabers look fantastic in 4K too.

A Deconstruction of Star Wars but enjoyable.

To the point, I found The Last Jedi to be an enjoyable film but definitely a Deconstruction of the Traditional Star Wars film as well as evolving characters in some unlikely directions.
First let me say, as the first Star Wars Film to be released in 4K, it looks stunning. Characters are clear and effects truly pop. No one can say that it looks bad.
As for the movie itself, it truly sets the tone with a "prank" call scene where Poe makes a fool of General Hux. At this point, you know that you are in Rian Johnson's Star Wars and there is no turning back.
Minor Spoilers...The Resistance had a great victory against the The New Order in The Force Awakens but this is short lived as they quickly recover and get into position to bombard the Resistance into extinction.
Poe who could do no wrong in the first movie buys time for the Resistance to escape but with heavy loses - which now puts him in Leia's dog house for disobeying orders to retreat sooner. This then sets up an issue of trust which progresses through the movie and creates a conflict when Poe is demoted and believes The Resistance should be doing one thing while his higher ups desire another - all while The New Order is chasing them down to destroy them when their fuel runs out.
Meanwhile, Rey who could also do no wrong in the first movie meets our long lost Jedi Master and is ready to learn the ways of the Force from the living myth, Luke Skywalker. Of course, Rian Johnson once again makes this universe his when he has Luke do the unthinkable when Rey hands him his Father's lightsaber.
What the Poe scene did to show the tone of the film, Luke's action takes it to dramatic levels of Rian Johnson bending the Star Wars Universe to his vision. From here, there are secret plans concocted to save The Resistance from itself, introductions of new characters that are given immediate importance, surprising character deaths, character changes to the point of assassination, detours that could be interpreted as political statements and revelations and actions that occur that blatantly contradict previous continuity of the movies and its established mythology.
And still, I enjoyed the film. The characters deliver their lines with great emotion and subtlety when needed and the set pieces look beautiful. By the time the film was done, I couldn't believe it was over as I never looked at my watch once. There are a few visual mistakes such as in the throne room battle, but Rian has an eye for great set transitions as well as easy, transitioning storytelling. It just all depends if you will like where this story leads you.
One thing I will say, go into this movie with an open mind and just relax and enjoy. However, if you are one who sees this as a full extension of the original trilogy, you may walk away very disappointed.

Some of the story line was weird, like when they go to that casino, and when Leia was floating through space, and how the first Order couldn't reach the resistance, Holdo/Poe feud. It was a visual masterpiece and a fun watch, but probably not my favorite.

i know the movie elicits polarizing responses. i liked it. but i'll just say that the 4k UHD version is far superior to the Blu-ray and is noticeable. i don't have Dolby Atmos for our system, but the 7.1 lossless soundtrack is also awesome.

So many people complain this isn’t their Star Wars. Yeah... it’s not supposed to be a rehash of the old ones. It’s new, it’s different, it evolved. Is it a perfect film? No. Star Wars have never been perfect. This is a fun chapter in a longer saga.
