In spite of some of the negative reviews of these sequels, I still enjoyed this film and glad I purchased it to round-out my Star Wars collection. Great picture and sound quality. Some interesting surprises add to the Skywalker Storyline. May the Force be with you.

A great way to end the saga of a lifetime. I’m a little late to the showing but better late then never. The final chapter was everything I thought and hoped it would be. Several plot twists were unimaginable but they worked out perfectly and the closure of the Skywalker saga may not be my favorite storyline of the SW series (Solo is my favorite) it still deserves 5 stars in my opinion. I hope that in the future the determination of upcoming storylines for SW and all other titles will not be at the fate of box office sales. How many titles have we lost out of sequels to because of poor box office sales that quickly became cult classics that destroyed box office sales with at home sales, too many, countless at this point.

you hear old timers always complain about the new movies being trash but guess what this was how the story was going to end the entire time. I enjoy every single Star Wars movie.

Big Fan of Star Wars. This movie was the perfect ending to the Star Wars saga. Wanted to get the Steel Book but was unavailable at the time. But this one was just fine for us. You get all the different copies you will ever need.

Faily good picture quality. I like the fact there's hardly any grain. The HDR is not a standout but this picture quality is much better than The Last Jedi which was muted and devoid of color and had too much film grain.

There's people that love this movie, and people who seem to think it's somehow a sign of the apocalypse. I'm in the first group and didn't want to have to watch this compressed via streaming. The 4K is amazing, the audio is beyond amazing, and all the incredible visuals are captured in fantastic detail. As for the extras, I've only viewed some, but the John Williams short is inspirational. Even if folks have a problem with the story they'd do themselves a favor to watch "The Maestro's Finale', a moving documentary portraying William's contributions to the series. As for the SteelBook itself, it's a much better display than the usual forgettable cardboard sleeve and presents the discs in a way that makes them seem more valuable and collectable. Wish I'd gotten them all in this format.

I liked the steelbook for this movie, very attractive. Technically, there is not a lot of flash or vivid colors, but that is fully in accord with the style of the Star Wars franchise. There is a fundamental symmetry between the end of this movie and the beginning of the original, (Episode IV), on Tatooine. Of course, it is not possible to please everyone, but I truly enjoyed this movie. OTOH, there do remain several untied plot points, possibilities for more, at some time in the future, not to mention “The Mandalorian”. I very much enjoyed the 4K Blu-ray, including a fine sound stage, enjoyable at your chosen volume. Not to mention being able to re-watch, pause and resume, all at my choice. I find BD quality to be significantly better than streaming quality, especially for audio.

Star Wars: Rise - Good Not Great - (with spoilers)

This movie was hard to grasp at first. The cinematography was great, the musical score by John Williams was beautiful, and the story was incredible but very complex - especially when you consider all 9 of the films together. It took several viewings for me to completely wrap my head around everything that happened, but the story does tie the entire saga together, all through Emperor Palpatine. From The Phantom Menace to The Rise of Skywalker, Palpatine is there as the embodiment of the dark side. To see Ben Solo and Rey come together to finally defeat Palpatine is simply incredible. Although Rey and Ben are not in the prequels or the original films, Rey was created by Palpatine. She's his granddaughter and Ben was the son of Leia, who is the daughter of Anakin/Darth Vader who was created by Palpatine. So in the end, Palpatine was defeated by his own corruption. I liked the film. Give it a shot. If you don't like it, that's ok. If you do like it, that's ok too.

It's Star Wars, it has to be good. It is good. Hopefully it won't be the last. True fans should still be into this series. Plus I don't feel you have to be a Star Wars geek to enjoy this movie. Graphics are real good. Such a dif from the first movies. ha.

This movie may have saved the franchise. I really enjoyed the character arc and feel that you can get between 3 to 4 movies to fully realize their characters. The movie is also great references quality sounds as well.

I loved this movie. We see the culmination of a long history of plots and the ability to see the conclusion of the Palpatine story line is great. The action is phenomenal and the special effects are great.

Regardless of how you feel about The Rise of Skywalker (I happen to enjoy it), the quality of the picture and audio on this 4k Blu-Ray is incredible! If your TV and player can do 4k, THIS IS THE WAY TO GO!

I enjoyed this movie much better than The Last Jedi, and I believe this movie could have been a lot better if it didn't have to try and fix so many things the last movie destroyed. I thought this film brought everything full circle and was a nice ending to the Skywalker saga.

This film episode of the trilogy of trilogies, Star Wars, episode 9, the Rise of the Resistance is the climactic clash between light and dark. While the First Order continues to ravage the galaxy, Rey finalizes her training as a Jedi. But danger suddenly rises as the evil Emperor Palpatine mysteriously returns from the dead. While the Resistance squares off with the evil First Order in a final battle for the galaxy's freedom, Rey, working with Finn and Poe Dameron fulfill a new mission. Rey will not only face off with Kylo Ren, but she will also finally discover the truth about her parents as well as a deadly secret that could determine her future and the fate of the ultimate final showdown that is to come. Its Star Wars! What's not to like!

This is just another one of the great Star Wars films. They are all fantastic stories in the series. Love the new characters. The actors are all wonderfully placed into this saga. I'll hate to see them end.

As the final installment to the Skywalker Saga, Rise of Skywalker falls short for me. While brilliantly executed from a filmmaking and production standpoint as the film is gorgeously photographed with top of the line special and practical effects, the story is an utter mess. It’s clear that they didn’t have a clear destination or road map when they set out to make this trilogy, and it’s ultimately caught up with them here in this film because several story arcs and character arcs are either rushed through or abandoned quickly. In some cases (like a certain central antagonist) are thrown in out of left field because they had no other creative directions to go. I’d say if you’re a Star Wars fan and want to complete your collection, then this is a worthy set to purchase. The 2 hr documentary makes it worth it alone if you’re a filmmaking buff. But I’d say if you’re just a casual fan, then I’m not sure if you’ll like the film.

I don't know why some people hate this movie or how they say it is terrible. I think some people have their bar set so high that nothing can compete with the originals. I enjoyed it and will watch again and again in the years to come. Sounds great on a nice system too.
