The ultimate Star Wars collection in terms of picture quality and sound. Yes it’s not the original unaltered trilogy from 4 to 6, but that’s not something I’ll get into in this review. It’s the best Star Wars has ever looked, and if your wanting to have the whole Skywalker trilogy with all the bells and whistles, than this is the collection to buy. I don’t see how it could get any better.

Overall a nice set, but I knocked off one star for the packaging. I may be the only one with this issue, but I had a hard time getting the discs out without leaving a lot of fingerprints. I realize the way the discs are held has to be tight to prevent them from sliding out, but 7 of the 4K discs were very hard to remove.
Nice 4K transfers of the movies, with The Empire Strikes Back probably being the worst of them in my opinion. Some of the darker scenes didn’t look as crisp as the darker scenes from the other movies.
Overall, I would recommend this set to the Star Wars fan.

Great collectors set! Movies are a bit difficult to get out of the book and that leads to some fingerprints on the disc. I love the whole package, but the difficulty in getting the movie out makes it even more tempting just to watch the digital versions.
At $250, I would probably skip this. I managed to get it at $150. At that price, I couldn’t say no. If you remotely enjoyed these movies, buy this set on sale. If it isn’t on sale, I say buy them individually. At any rate, do yourself a favor and buy the 4k versions.

The product was pretty much exactly what I expected and the some. The outer box is very cool and design is clever. The inside artwork and behind the scenes photos are a nice touch. Each film comes with three discs, one 4K, on standard Blu-ray, and one bonus features disc. My only complaint is the discs are hard to get out of the sleeves, but that's very minor. All in all this is an awesome set and worth the money.

Star Wars saga - 9 movies

The much-anticipated Star Wars saga with all 9 films was recently released. The movies in both UHD 4K and Blu-Ray formats plus all the extras are great, as expected. The packaging is another matter. The discs are difficult to remove from the packaging. While this keeps the discs secure, one has to pry the discs out of the openings at the tops of the album pages while getting fingerprints on each disc. This packaging design aspect needed to be much more carefully thought out in advance; the artwork on the album pages is nice, but not an essential feature.

Great package for a great set of films. The transfers are very uniform. possibly with too much smoothing of the grain on the movies shot on film, but overall they look very beautiful in 4k HDR.
There are plenty of special features for each film. The movies vary a bit in the quality of their storylines, but the acting is generally very good.

This set has a great number of things going for it....4k version of all 9 films, remastered blurays, and tons of extras....top that off with digital copies of all movies..
But the downside lies in the packaging...you have to slide them in and out of cardboard which can damage them, so I switched them to plastic cases....and of course including the original versions of the original trilogy would have been nice.

This set doesn't include the original theatrical versions of the original trilogy, which is what fans have been truly waiting on, but this set is still the best available so far. 4K audio and video is outstanding for most of the films, with The Phantom Menace having the weakest looking video. The set looks nice and the booklet is also attractive, however sliding the discs in and out of the booklet requires some patience and care. Overall, this is a nice set that is a no brainer for collectors, but it's not quite the ultimate set that many have been looking for.

Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga [Digital Copy] [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray/Blu-ray] [Only @ Best Buy] - finally on 4K even though it is not the original theatrical cuts. None of the 4K discs are encoded with DolbyVision, The Last Jedi has Dolby Vision removed from the 4K disc unlike the 4K steelbook original release.

If you are like me, you probably have multiple versions of these movies.
This is nothing new, but all in 4K UHD. people complain about which version is better. At the end of the day, for the first 6 episodes, this is the vision George Lucas had and he changed them to whatever he see fit. I still love them no matter what.

Finally recieving the 4K UHD Upgrade all of us collectors have been waiting for. A slight disappointment that the HDR grading did not include Dolby Vision, but the concillation comes from the AMAZING Dolby Atmos soundtracks. Most definately an ENORMOUS upgrade from my older DVD and Blu-ray collections before. This set is a MUST HAVE, if you count yourself as a STAR WARS fan or even a Cinephile !!!

This is the ultimate Star Wars collection. Over the years I have re-purchased these movies several time, and after viewing these disks I think this will be the final purchase. All 9 movies with tons of extras and a nice display case. The only thing I would change is the way it holds the disks, the book has slots the disks slide into. So far it hasn't caused any damage

I bought this for my husband as a gift. He absolutely loves it! It is very well put together and the case is so nice that we displayed it on our entertainment center until we ran out of room. When I bought this I looked at the cost for each individual movie and buying this as a set, with the extras, was less than buying each movie separately.

So far I’ve watched Episodes 1, 4, 5, 6, 9. It’ll take a while to get through the remaining disks.
They did a really nice job with the 4K UHD versions! I was particularly impressed with episodes 4-6 which I though might not be so good given they were filmed much earlier. But they look great on a good 4K UHD TV!
Why 4/5 stars? I’ve had one disk with a playback glitch. It’s difficult to get the disks out of the cardboard holders without getting finger prints all over the disks. Need to use a separate cloth.

It's nice to finally have all of the Skywalker Saga put together in one collection with a 4K resolution. The discs are actually pretty easy to get out and put back in, unlike some other limited edition box sets I've bought (Back to the Future). Tons of extras if you have not already seen them all throughout the years, but it's not really anything that wasn't released in previous versions.

If you are a hardcore Star Wars fan you will love this, otherwise most other people will not want to pay for it. The movies look great in 4K. The bonus features are good, but could have been great if they had included all deleted scenes and maybe a few more features that have been sprinkled throughout other editions. My biggest criticism is the packaging. The discs are in cardboard sleeves and not so easily removed. Be careful when taking a disc out. I enjoyed watching all the movies, yes even the last ones, because they looked so good.

Everything from the collectors box to the remastered into 4k original movies looks great! The organization of the movies in the art book is a little confusing as I thought all the disks for a movie were on the same page but it turns out the first half of the book is the movies and the second half is bonus material disks. Sad to see the end of an era in this story line, I hope Disney keeps it going.

I have really enjoyed this set of Star Wars DVD's. Growing up with the original trilogy, its difficult to put together (in my mind) the sequence of events and how George Lucas intended the timeline to be. With this set I was able to watch from begging to end. I really enjoyed the 4K pictures along with the enhanced sound. Well worth the money!

It's Star Wars. As long as you are OK with the changes made since the originals, you'll love these. Good quality on the film's with tons of extras. The packaging, however could be better. It looks great, but the glue on the booklet of discs is shoddy and my back page came loose from the cover. The discs themselves are in cardboard sleeves that are way too tight (why does anyone do this!!!) The packaging isn't shown in the movies here, so I'll only sock a star for it. Best release of the movies so far, in my opinion.
