We've been watching Episode I and II on VHS forever. Somehow managed to find III on DVD at a yard sale. We have not switched to Blue Ray yet, so we needed to find I and II in the DVD format. Well, online you can purchase them separately for a very large price ticket OR buy the box set. So, we settled here at Best Buy due to a gift card we could use towards it. Well worth the price and the packaging is quite nice.

.... the ultra-compact design of the packaging is pretty annoying. For the price however, I'm satisfied, at least, temporarily until a massive feature laden release makes its way to the consumer. I'm guessing that's five to ten years from now, when all nine episodes can be bundled together into an overpriced collection that we'll all pay too much for because this release will contain remastered and original versions, plus a dearth of 'newly discovered' deleted scenes, outtakes, and what not. But, I'll unplug the consumption grump and simply state that tolerable episodes I and II, and effective episode III look and sound great on Blu-Ray. Nothing new to see here but enjoyable nonetheless.

When I saw all of these movies I was in total awe! I don't want to give spoilers but the last movie at the end I was just like, Wow! And this is based on what things can be done with new technology. I love the Star Wars Series. If you got the right surround sound you can definitely hear everything in the movie. Most of the things I heard I don't even remember or didn't notice before.

If you love Star Wars you love even the prequel trilogy no matter what all the haters say. The graphics were and are a lot better than the originals and there are some amazing action scenes and characters. This blu ray transfer is very Imores dive and rewatxhability is def there. My family lives everything Star Wars so this is a must own. Includes dvd and blu ray copies of all 3 prequel movies

It was great fun watching these movies with my grandkids who love anything Star Wars but had never seen the movies. I have read that the DVD's are not 100% the same as the original movies, but you could not prove it my me. If it had extra scenes or something edited differently, I don't care. I wanted to watch the movies again, not buy a cinema museum artifact.

In short, once you get by Jar Jar, life gets better! Serioiusly, I had this collection on DVD laying around for the past few years and never bothered watching it. But with the reincarnation of the sage, decided to go out and get the prequels on Blu-ray. Seeing them again in this high quality, reinvigorated my faith in I, II, and III. Definitely worth getting. Too much good stuff from these movies leads into the core of the Star Wars core trilogy (IV, V and VI). Much better experience!

I know a lot of folks to not actually like these films but I consider them essential as each film (yes, even Episode I) provides key elements to understanding the history, etc. Episode III is by far the most amazing and the end scenes are amazing. This is a great set and although I would have liked to get the individual films in the steel cases, this is a more economic alternative.

I bought the 6 movies split because i wanted to have both dvd and blu ray versions. Best Buy did a price match on both of the packages even when they where price at $45 so in the end it's a better deal to but them this way than the 6 all together. It's not the original release or anything like that, but if all you care about is the story the this is the way to go!

I have two young boys that are totally into Star Wars with the new movie coming out. I did not have episodes 1-3, so I bought both the sets 1-3 and 4-6 so my boys could watch all the movies before the new one. They are great quality and they were the best price I found shopping around. The price for the two sets of three was better than buying all six movies in one box set.

Loved the packing and quality of this awesome trilogy. Watched and throughly enjoyed all the episodes with my teenager son!

I had never watched Star Wars on blu ray and decided to purchase the sets... I was not disappointed. You can see soo much more of what's happening and in such better quality! Plus the bonus stuff was great! Worth picking them up!

You have to have watched the first Star Wars trilogy for these movies to be enjoyable. I Loved the first Star Wars, because, well, who didn't? I never became a fanatic, but I've watched them more than a few times. Having said that, I always wondered two things: How did this story start,and what happened next? These movies answered my first question. So for that reason and for the animation and special effects, I rate it pretty high. As stand alone movies, the acting is eh, and the plot is kind of a snoozer. I will watch them many more times, I'm sure. Definitely not sorry I made this purchase.

I tend to enjoy all the Star Wars movies and wad eagerly waiting for the blu ray release of the original trilogy. I am happy to say this includes the very latest prints of each these movies. In particular, Episode 1 now features Yoda as entirely CGI. (In the original release the puppet for him was very bad: he looked more like Kermit the Frog).

The prequel trilogy on Bluray, is a great way to watch the movies. They may not be as great as the originals, but they are still fun to watch and really fun to watch with my kids. They really love all of the movies and enjoy watching them. The quality of the movies is great and there is a lot of extra features that are fun to watch as well.

Um...it's Star Wars!!! Do I need really need to explain how amazing this series is??? I've had them all on VHS, DVD, and now blue ray. And of course I'm getting The Force Awakens when it comes out. If you loved watching the movies then, you be amazed how much better the quality is on this bluray set. Stop wasting time and buy this, Star Wars fans!

I bought this so the kids and I could catch-up on this saga before seeing Rogue One in the theater. It definitely saved me over buying each movie separately. I am not going to post about how the movies were didn't due Star Wars justice, etc like others - we are not that into the story line - we are just able to enjoy the series.

I had never seen the first 3 episodes of the trilogy and i wanted to watch it in the comfort of my home. The movies were what I expected. I will watch it again.

This is so good.The quality is so good, that it is as close that you can get to 3D without it being 3D. There are some images that seem to jump out at you. A must see for those who want the best.Who doesn't love star wars? great deal. 6 discs in one dvd case is awesome. really happy with this purchase. love star wars! especially these 3 :)

These are the subsequent episodes of Star Wars, even though from a chronological standpoint they occur first. Nevertheless, Episode II and III get deep into how Young Skywalker became Darth Vader. The Blue Ray gives the feature even greater detail. I have introduced my children to the series, and now they are hooked as well.

I enjoyed episodes 1-3. Although the cgi is a little overkill compared to IV-VI, it's still a great story. If you like Star Wars you have to own this blu-ray collection. High quality!
